Ah, now if you can nominate more than one then I propose the humble COCKROACH. Anything that can live for weeks without its HEAD needs to be on the list.

I dispute that the mosquito actually kills, like the tsetse fly, it unintentionally infects you with a parasite which kills you which is different to venom. Not hard, case closed.

The black mamba is much more aggressive therefore harder. Just being venomous doesn't make it hard on its own. If you want a cobra, i'd go for the spitting cobra as it spits venom in your eye just because it can......

The saltwater crocodile (Crocodylus porosus), also known as saltie, estuarine or Indo-Pacific crocodile, is the largest of all living reptiles, as well as the largest terrestrial and riparian predator in the world. The males of this species can reach sizes of up to 6.7 m (22 ft) and weigh as much as 2,000 kg (4,400 lb).
However, an adult male saltwater crocodile is generally between 4.3 and 5.2 m (14 and 17 ft) in length and weighs 400–1,000 kg (880–2,200 lb), rarely growing larger. Just in case of pedantry deployment I shall make sure the Honey Badger gets at least a nomination (should get an automatic seed in my opinion) and can do little better than repeat my previous rant on that upstart shrimp.
