[Albion] Will De Zerbi still be our Manager after the International break?

Ridiculous thread. De Zerbi is doing a good job playing attactive football, he (and we) need a change of luck but hopefully after Chelsea we have a run of easier fixtures so the points will come that the performances deserve.

FFS Of course he will still be in charge, like Potter had to, he will need to change some of his preconceived ideas and adapt to football at this level. You only have to look at the change in performance at the start of the second half against city to know he can manage the players and the tactics. TB is calculating not trigger happy. My real concern is will we still have Leo after the January transfer window

Potter had the confidence of the board (Bloom) and was safe even if we went down.

Assuming we stay up RDZ will be in situ next season.

Have we regressed? Evidence so far would say yes, but he'll be given a significant period to prove he can turn it around.

We aren’t going down.

And if we do I’m getting £1,250 on a £25 stake as compensation in that extremely unlikely event.

Do you mean:

"Where are the emojis in the OP, which would highlight how they are joking in that post and people shouldn't be taking them seriously?" - Ha. Good way to undermine a terrible post.

Do you mean:

"How do you add emojis to a reply?" - There's a smiley face icon in the tool bar above the reply box. Between the picture and the media icons. If you're on mobile, it migh be visible in widescreen, or behind three vertical dots.

Do you mean:

"Where are all the original NSC emojis?!" - They're in the same place as the other emojis, you just need to scroll down a bit.

Option 2. I was looking to insert the fishing emoji.
I can't figure out how to do them.
Though it looks like you have supplied instructions.
This new format is more complicated.

Under De Zerbi (after trashing Leicester 5-2 in the last game before he arrived)........
P5 W0 D2 L3 GF 4 GA9 GD-5 Pts. 2
Before that -
P6 W4 D1 L1 GF11 GA5 GD 6 Pts.13

It's not a good look. Tony will be patiet, no doubt, up to a point, and so will most of us ...............up to a point! Needs to learn some of the things that Potter learned very quickly - and he has the example of Potter to follow. Tweak what you feel you have to - but only if the tweek improves results.

If you totally ignore the decision-making of the club over the last 10 years then yes 'your friend' may have a point.

However, if you do include this information and some simple common sense then 'your friend' is way off the mark.

Did you think to ask your friend if he thought that having our manager and entire backroom staff ripped from the club had anything to do with our poor form?

Your motivation for this thread is interesting though, why did you bother?

The upheaval must have been massively unsettling for the players though, of course it is going to take time. We have a whole new coaching setup. RDZ and his staff will still be adapting, living out of boxes, learning the language, getting to know the players, the existing staff and the club, worrying about where their kids are going to school and how they're settling in, what their partners are doing when they're not around in a new country and different culture etc etc. They don't even have the luxury of a full pre-season to adapt like Potter and co had, they've been thrown right in at the deep-end having not worked since having to flee because the country they were living and working in got invaded.

There is nothing in what I've seen so far to suggest RDZ is a Hyypia or De Boer type. Certain players have been underperforming recently which has ultimately cost us, and that's probably because they're missing that connection they had with GP, Bruno, Reid & Roberts. Not only this, but they've also had one of their team-mates forced into retirement out of nowhere at 24 in the middle. No chance that's just something that can be glossed over. The World Cup break should do us some good in this regard- some time to re-evaluate, develop and heal.

In terms of challenging for Europa or improving on last season's finish, this season can be pretty much written off I think. Potter had only just got this team playing consistently well after three years, and even then we still got turned over by Fulham not so long ago. We do have a stronger squad now but it's not as simple as just not upsetting the rhythm; RDZ has been bought in to implement his own ideas, not just carry on Potter's.

The players and staff are only human, there's so much more at play here than being good enough or not being good enough. That obviously doesn't mean they shouldn't be questioned if they're underperforming, but we do have to remember this is real life after all and there are so many factors at play that none of us are privy to.

That’s such a stupidly sensible post.

RDZ is better than Potter in many ways, a few frustration boo’s at Forest he came out and said he feels the frustration and loves our fans. No history lesson required. Felt sorry for the players they deserved better at City (very true) braver more attacking football let down in the final third please please address this hierarchy in the next two windows.

Inter seeing several different threads on Twitter after Saturday….almost universal praise from City fans along the lines of ‘best team they’ve seen at the Etihad this season’.
