You may need more information, however the fundamentals are that wages for nurses will only improve if the bottomless well of health workers currently being stripped out of 3rd world countries by the NHS is turned off. For a developed westen country like the UK to undermine health services in the 3rd world is immoral, there is no absolutely defence for such a policy if you are an internationlist.
An endless supply of any resource will only push its worth downwards, in relation to human resources its great for employers and bad for employees.
If you cared about the NHS workers and their interests you would be advocating protectionist policies for them now..................a free labour market would be the first area of attack.
The EU's TTIP would be next..................we know what Jezza thinks:

The saddest aspect of the debate on immigration is that few of the advocates of mass immigration, or apologists for it, will be around to see how wrong they were. The “I told you so” moment is some years down the line.

Corbyn voted No in the 1975 referendum.
It will be interesting to see when he wins the leadership and after the dust settles if he will stick to his socialist principles and again advocate leaving the EU.

Remember TTIP is about the privatisation of state assets and operational concerns (like the NHS)...........socialists would be opposed, neo liberals would not.
Further, TTIP is being negotiated by the unelected EU commission not the elected EU parliament.........and the parliament will not be able to throw it out. Democrats would be opposed to it, avowed pro EU supporters would not.
If ever anyone was in doubt about the capitalist and undemocratic intentions of the EU project.......TTIP puts that to bed.

Or increasing the pay so it is a more 'attractive' position so the isn't a nurse shortage. If you pay peanuts you end up in the situation now where we are having to sub-contract staff from the Philippines.

I do not doubt that his family wanted a better life but it is clear from the statement from his cousin that his primary objective was his teeth, but then we hear of other allegations.......

Obviously I cannot verify the above but I do not disbelieve it.
I am not undermining the resulted deaths, just questioning the truth to the story he has told, and how we have been sold it. Even the child’s body seems to have been moved to the beach from its original resting place to another, as in the now symbolic photo. His cousin stated, on record, that his wife did not want to risk the crossing and was scared to do it, but he convinced her otherwise.
My heart bleeds for the children being dragged through the long journey to Europe, but at the same time we don’t see the stronger refugees making way for the women, children, elderly and disabled. It seems that it is every man for himself without a care for the weaker people behind them.
Persoanlly I am split on this and it is hard to care about them all equally when it is on this scale. It would be quicker to process the more needy first and the stronger later.

This is just a shite situation all round.
The thousands who've drowned trying to get to Europe. They died trying to places we could fly to for £100 on easyjet.
The abuse of the system by some of the refugees; They're just picking whichever country they've got most friends/family or has the best opportunities. I'm sorry, but that's not how asylum works.
The refugees who aren't really refugees who've jumped on the bandwagon. There are many. I have no idea how many. But there are many.
The "Welcome refugees" crap.
The scaremongering *******s who like to tell us how many ISIS soldiers are sneaking in to our lands. Apparently that means we should never let anyone from the middle east into England ever.
There's not one clear, easy solution to this. And it all stems from ISIS. They've given us this problem. It's not our soft approach, it's not European policy, it's not the refugees, it's not even the people who decided to chance it for a better life. We've been handed an impossible task to deal with by ISIS. Simple as that.

It doesn't diminish it for me, children have been drowning on a daily basis for months. It's the people who have not been aware of this that this story has woken up, but I doubt they will ever realise that it isn't the exact truth anyway.
