Everyone who cares should contact the council...

To contact the Traveller Liaison Team, please phone (01273) 292044 or email travellersbrighton-hove.gov.uk.

Tell them to forward any correspondence to the council leader and remind them you are a council tax paying voter.

Might be pissing in the wind but it might make you feel a bit better.

Trouble is Lucarse and the Greens love them and encourage them

Surely encroaching on private land is illegal...can you imagine these leeches trying to park up in Buckingham Palace....they would be moved on in seconds, but everywhere else they have 'Uman rights'....the Green Party have a lot to answer for....come the revolution they will be put up against the wall and......

The Council Leader? Give us a break

Yep about right! She was clueless last night on QT and got completely found out as a pie in the sky politician with no real solutions for cost effective renewable energy.

Anyway digressing to the original subject, alot of our parents are pretty cross about this but there's a feeling they're only there for the fair at Victoria park at the weekend...they'd better be!

1) They're quite scary
Certainly, but so are some other members of the public, and Im not suggesting a fair fight.
3) You'd be committing a criminal offence - and two wrongs don't make a right
You're using legal definitions to define right and wrong. Sometimes breaking the law is the right thing to do.

I think you will find a certain estemed member on here and his bonfire society tried to emphasise the issue with travellers arriving and pitching their caravans anywhere without a care and comically set alite to a caravan...this was picked up by the national press and it got quite nasty!

BTW I was at Virgin the other day and a bloke who works on security on the gate at the Amex told me that the travelling community regularily have sorties to see if they can find a way into the car park...seemly one set of vans were parked up just off the small roundabout off the A27 waiting for a time when the security guards changed over. One bloke in a 4x4 was parked opposite the gate presumably as look out!

As much as i hate this type of behaviour which we see too often from travellers I think some people on this thread need to be careful what they say. Travellers are regarded by the law as an ethnic minority and recent cases show the law can be especially humourless when it comes to posting things on the internet.

Shirley if they did get into the car park and pitched up, the club could just get a court order to get them removed ? No chance security guards or the police would be able to move them on.

That, or when it gets posted on NSC, all those who have something to do with the club (IE Supporters, players, Gus, staff) can meet up and then turf them off.
