Why special conditions in this post-Brexit scenario? It's almost as if you're conceding that it constitutes a major error.
I don't understand your logic there. I'm just speculating that we want our government (whomever it was) to be able to concentrate on the Brexit deal, and not have to worry about the opposition or lack of mandate etc. If Labour were united and well lead now, they could put pressure on May to call an election, which is not what we need right now. As it is, we know May would win if there was an election, so there's no need for them to do it.

Surely a strong opposition to hold them to account would be better.
That's generally how I feel, I just think it might be best for the UK if the government are able concentrate on getting the best deal right now, without having to worry about the usual political wrangling between parties.

It's not about where you are on the ideological spectrum it's about having a leader who looks like a leader. Like in most countries the left and right are about equal and the middle decides. May looks like a leader, Corbyn looks like he's head of sustainability (based on seniority not ability) at a hippy commune.

every time I come on the thread to have a look there does seem to be those that are frightened of JC (otherwise why keep rambling on about him)
the time to be frightened is when we have a GE which will not be any time soon and JC might or might not be there.
and how we can have a watered down conservative MP taking the p1ss out of Labour MP's is beyond me whe you have the mighty BJ leading the foreign office.
the politics in this country are a mess

I'm not sure the present incumbents will be too happy with this!

Labour, the gift that keeps giving

this is why there will be no split in Labour, he will purge the party of any moderate MPs. also giving the government good reason to push ahead with consituency reorganisation that was previously ditched. with normalised consituency sizes Labour would probably lose a chunk of seats, he must know this so this is suicide. one starts to wonder if this is the objective, it is easier to oppose than to govern. some on the hard left might see it as a necessary evil to ferment revolution, give the country a couple of decades of Tory rule and they'll revolt?

But how many votes did Tory lite lose once the electorate realised what they had elected ?
How long did it take them to realise?

Everyone hates the Blairites. Blairites that made the party electable and won them three GE. Call it 'Tory lite' all you like but I'd rather that than full fat Tory.

Corbyn doesn't belong in New Labour. Old Labour is more his scene and that died years ago.

Come the next GE people will vote for a centralist party, not some socialist utopian dreamland. If Corbyn stays on it'll be Lib Dems as the only center-left option available and therefore the only credible opposition.

Labour infighting must be hurting the Labour party I also wonder if some of UKIP members will return to the fold of other parties or stay with UKIP.
I think the LIBS will get some of its older members back who wanted to leave EU very interesting times.

Can see the Tories, Libs, UKIP and SNP all eating into Labour's voter base. I reckon they might even lose 100 seats.
