Yes, and if I was Elle's current employer (never mind Alan Sugar), I think I'd be watching her very closely as she's clearly an incompetent idiot with zero skills.

I would have felt a bit sorry for that Albanian refugee bloke if he didn't bang on about his background at every opportunity. I thought that whilst he made some basic slap-dash mistakes, at least he had rolled his sleeves up and got on with it, which is more than can be said for some of them!
That bloke made the jobs he done worse!

Well he certainly cost them money through being slap dash, but compared to April and one or two others, he was a genuine asset. The women should have been the ones cutting-in on the paint jobs - it's hardly a secret that women are more dextrous than men, in the same way that men are physically strong. What is WRONG with these people? :lolol:

How does that Elle do her current job. She must be carried. If I were her boss I would fire her.
She's a typical pen pusher, bosses people around but has no idea what she's doing!

So Lord Sugar bins off the immigrant, and on his way out says to him "we'll stay in touch".

Eh ?

Maybe Sugar knows an irritating bell-end who he promised to get some painting done for?

Edit: I just read that since arriving in the UK as an Albanian refugee, he has been the main bread-winner for a family of seven since he was 18, and still has the desire to be a success. I guess that's what impressed Sralun.

Bloody Worthing!

I'm not sure that even Elle knows what her current job actually entails, other than showing up and bossing people around. As with many of the other candidates I am at a loss to explain how she got into the show - other than for entertainment value and to inspire other apparently clueless youngsters.

I thought Mergin was unfairly gotten rid of, at least for the idea of what is left to watch for the rest of the series. All we have left is Richard and Mr Specification and the foul-hearted Selina, oh and Valentino's moustache, to be "entertained" by.
I was put off by Mergin's dreams of being a millionaire, but then he made out on the Fired show that he had aims to help some youngsters too, so he might be a reasonable egg. Although maybe not reasonable enough to get his end away from Karen Brady, as he so also wished.

This is the worst series I have seen so far. Jennifer was ridiculously fired for not demanding to talk to a chef! Ridiculous justification of sacking the hot one.

Last night's episode was just boring. The firings were funny, and Elle was absolutely pathetic. Mergin getting the sack was very harsh after last week's praise but it's very clear to me that the format is stale and the tasks aren't original anymore. It's been a very disappointing series so far and I can't see it getting any better with the lack of talent they've got in the house.

The lack of talent is EXACTLY what makes this show entertaining, I thought last nights show was hilarious. The pleasure is in watching these clueless delusional muppets floundering around miles outside their comfort zones whilst desperately trying to maintain the impression that they know exactly what they're doing.

I don't tune in to see talent, that's for sure. Now that WOULD be dull.

Brutal from Lord Sugar last night, lovely stuff. Been saying for weeks that April should've gone, she has done nothing since the first week when she tried selling a salad in a tupperware box for £9.

Elle was a waste of space, but thought it was a bit harsh on Mergim.

Think the final three will be Richard, Joseph and Gary. Sam next to go, he is looking weaker every episode.

I don't recall anyone being fired at the initial post losing inquest

As an aside, the whole "you're fired" thing is ridiculous anyway. How can you fire someone you haven't employed ?

I'd rather he just said "now GET OUT"

Yes I can only assume Sam's business plan is absolute genius. Same goes for that gimp David.

Selina is surely a "dead man walking" and will go soon. I reckon Brett will beat Gary who, in my opinion, has barely featured in a positive or negative light so far. And don't rule out Vana - she's got a whiny American voice, but although she makes mistakes, she also seems to get the job done when it really matters. My final three are Joseph, Brett and Vana.

My current gripe is the 'Thankyou for the opportunity' gubbins

For one thing, it's hardly an opportunity if you have been scraping up chewing gum discarded from some fat cockneys gob after pie and chips, painting a sign by mistake or putting up a shelf badly - I'm sure I could get a job washing windows today if I really wanted to. Secondly, everyone now says it. I'd love someone to give it the 'I didn't want your shite job anyway beardy and as for you Brady, I'm not being lectured by someone who works for a porn king at the hammers' just to be different.

Enjoyed last night though. That PM was utterly useless. The fact she hasn't worked out by now that Sugar wants someone who does stuff as well as co-ordinates beggars belief.

Harsh comments about Elle. The tasks are not a reflection of real life and should be treated as such. Just because she works in a site office admin role doesn't mean she knows how to organise the practical side of implementing a job! She probably does all the client facing and organisational stuff that the builders wouldn't be able to cope with, it's just horses for courses, doesn't make her a moron!

Elle knew she was a goner and went without a fight to save a bit of dignity, she deserves a bit of credit for that.

That is classic Apprentice though and exactly why it is such good telly. Even the slightest link to a particular industry puts you in the firing line. "John, you work in the Travel industry so I want you to be PM on this task to organise and sell day trips" "OK Lord Sugar, but my job was web designer for BA"

I think this series will hot up once Selina gets back in the firing line, she is clearly a bit unhinged and is like a grenade waiting to explode.

Agree with Billy about Selina. Her constant sneering at competent-but-abrasive Brett is only going to end one way and I want to be watching when it happens. Especially the Jack Dee show afterwards. Hopefully she'll CRY at some point.
