Didn't watch it as would rather pull my teeth out but just hearing how average the game was makes me even angrier about these crappy international breaks. I would be quite happy if international football was scrapped during the season and one off tournaments were held every two years.

Miserable tossers everywhere tonight I see, as per USUAL.

European Champions Spain went there 2 years ago in the Euro 2016 qualifiers, and LOST 2-1. Jesus H Corbett, imagine the SPACKFEST on here if England dared turn in a result like that. Were we brilliant ? No. But we went to a tricky away game, kept a clean sheet, and won, so its job done. A bit like the Albion going to Burton and muddling our way to a win.

I guess everyone is just ITCHING to put the boot in on England again after the last debacle though, pretty much hoping that we'll be rancid shit again, just so we can have a good old MOAN up and sound really clever, like we know something Allardyce doesn't. Carry on. I just hope we qualify and then do a 1990 / 1996 / 1998 and give us all something to look forward to and shout about. Because I guarantee this. All the ones saying "I don't give a fvck about England any more" blah blah cuffing blah, will soon be in the pub in their JJB shirts at the first SNIFF of a 2nd round game. Knobbers.

I may be wrong, but I think Slovakia have a very good home record. Good result. Of course, most on here are excited by the fact we only managed to win 1-0, and it was a bit of a dull game. Granted, it was a bit hodgson-esque at times, but the Wisdomites of the all-knowing supporters of BHA seem to think big Sam should have won the World Cup in the the first 90 (or even 45) mins of his reign! Get a grip people. Change the nappy. Bring on the Malta!

I'm sure Sam will get them organised and trying to play to a system but sadly, he hasn't got the players to work with. The PL is stifling the development of the English player and we are going backwards. Most International teams putting men behind the ball will give us problems. We have no ball players capable of beating men and setting up chances. We cannot deliver accurate crosses or set-pieces. What we can do is roll the ball across our back four and midfield, till the cows come home. We are very good at that. Sadly, the better the class of opponent, the more that will be ruthlessly exposed.

I think most would have taken a 1-0 against a good team away from home, but 95th minute goal and playing same old system is probably setting the tone and feeling more

Atleast Sterling a actually looked like a footballer so there's a marked improvement.

Drew 0-0 with them in the Summer so again, there's an improvement.

I don't mind Rooney playing in midfield / behind the striker ASLONG as he contributes to the game in an attacking sense but I barely believe he did. Ali should be playing that role as he proved when he came on (yes I know he had more space at that stage of the game, but still...).

We'll have no problems qualifyng and I wouldn't be surprised if we had a 100% record again.

The worry started when he retained the captaincy, no chance of dropping him now. Again, no issues at all if he's contributing going forward but if he isn't it's a waste of a position when we have 'specialists' sat on the bench that can break up play and pass the ball around (Drinkwater) and attacking players that actually attack (Ali) instead of Rooney roaming around seemingly doing what he likes.

Yeah its tough for Sam especially since he's always nurtured English talent at every club he's been too.
