Reading station is currently undergoing MAJOR redevlopment as part of the Cross Rail project, I expect Network Rail are desperate to get as much possesion as possible to progress the work.

You can always get the National Express coach service from Brighton to Reading (Calcot). Change at Gatwick. £56.50 day return. And a taxi to and from the ground. Only £45 with a Coachcard discount.

Where do you pick up the park and rides?

The nearest one is just off the motorway on the old Digital site. Can't miss it. Come off motorway at J11, head towards Reading on the A33 and you will see the signs.

the f***ing big building in the middle of the shot has now been knocked down and there is a park and walk there, about 1/2 mile to the ground but there are no pubs close to there.
