You've got to feel for the cleaners. You shouldn't expect to have to clean up human excrement from the floor. Well...we don't expect it down in Sussex. Christ knows what passes for normal up in Croydon if a grown man can a) do a crap on the floor and b) think it's okay to leave it there.

Utter scum of the earth.

Its just a shame it inspired Palace to do a proper job on the Brighton team that night, Holloway has admitted he hardly had to say a word to their players when they saw the state of the dressing room floor, as he thought it was a Brighton employee who had done it. Worked very much in their favour

Wasn't their coach an absolute wreck as well? The driver probably couldn't be trusted with a newer one, he would have crapped all over it

They should have made him drive a pony and trap!

Well, I can sort of understand if its coming out both ends, but if thats the case then just man up and admit its happened, just leaving it is pretty bad.

Its obvious they have known about this for ages, does show a massive lack of class and respect, regardless of opponent. Wouldnt expect anything less from them, hardly even expect an apology.

The way that McCarthy has admitted this now would point to the fact that insiders at Palace have known the truth all this time, but kept silent.

You have to presume that the directors, the former manager, the chairman and CEO all knew, but none thought it necessary to tell the truth and clear innocent employees from unfair allegation and rumour.

They sound like the sort of honourable and trustworthy bunch anyone would want in charge of their team.

Well, this was news to me. What isn't news of course is that Palace, as per usual, showed a complete lack of class over the whole incident. When it was someone from within BHA it was "disgusting", but now its known it was someone within CPFC apparently its "hilarious". How predictably hypocritical.

Systematic thieving from local businesses, shameful cover-ups, a philandering potty-mouthed thug for a manager. What a truly shabby, grubby little club.

The REALLY sad thing about this revelation is that all this time I'd believed Calde couldn't get near Bolasie and Zaha because he was too slow when all along the real reason was he couldn't stand the sh1t stench of their "marinaded overnight" coach-driver, turd-festered shirts.

Very much this.
I didn't know either. Wasn't there talk of the police being involved? Surely they should be done for wasting police time?

This is hardly a revelation: many of us have been aware of it for a long time. It follows on, therefore, that Crystal Palace Football Club have also been aware for at least as long.

I can't help feeling it's a pretty poor show by them not to have put a stop to it all two and a half years ago. A simple apology on their behalf to the Albion would have sufficed: after all, it's not their fault that the coach driver was in a state. But to to be aware that one of their employees had left the place in a filthy mess, and moreover to have quietly sat back and hidden the truth whilst a media shitstorm- no pun intended- developed around it, thanks to another member of their staff, is a contemptible performance. If nothing else, the whole affair had the Albion launching an internal investigation in which- presumably- their own staff were under suspicion for a time.

The Albion are actually the only ones who come out of this with any dignity- off the pitch at any rate- as they chose to maintain a discreet silence, when it must have been tempting to put the truth out there. Whereas our opponents that day have, one can only assume, gone as far as telling their own players to keep the story quiet. And so they have done, until Paddy McCarthy has a couple of beers a long way down the line. Great work, Steve Parish & friends. You're a classy bunch.

Disgusting if true. Could just be McCarthy on a wind up.

Still, all turned out (pardon the pun) well in the end (another possible pun).
Well for us anyway.
Marvellous.
:lolol:

And on that note, I'll log out now....oops, there's another pun.

By the way the 'coach divert plot' was the hideous crime of someone suggesting on approaching Falmer from Brighton the q over the a27 was really bad, like normal
Big games, so they went up the a27 to Lewes and back the other way, like a lot of cars do. If they had arrived at a better time they could avoided it. Think this coach driver has a lot to answer to. The right thing for Palace to do is to apologise, as people lost their jobs over this, do you think they will ?
