Ok point understood, if others have paid to advertise for employees then fair enough.
But I still think fellow BHA fans should be able to help each other out for free, but that is just my opinion and I respect Bozzas rules.

The very important point I made earlier though appears to have been ignored!

IF you run a website that offers a commercial service such as offering advertising space for sale then you MUST follow the law of the land and display certain information which as far as I can tell is not available on NSC. - Information that had it been available would have avoided the need for this thread.

For what it's worth I've met the op and he came across as a really nice bloke. He made an error posting what he did and following it up on twitter. I'm sure he regrets it, not his point but the way he went about it. On the flip side, bozza has so far dealt with this magnificently. Handbags springs to mind! Doesn't offering a commercial service on the site, ie advertising space for sale, open up an entirely new can of worms.

For a start there are the eCommerce Regulations which have to be complied with and full details displayed, (Full business details, VAT number, company registration number, email address of the provider, clear and unambiguous prices etc). More importantly full terms and conditions covering the purchase of such a service must be clearly displayed on the website.

Maybe if that had been done then the situation of someone unwittingly posting something that should have been paid for wouldn't have occurred

NSC is not a retail operation - we have no products to sell - we have no prices to display to anyone.

Regardless, you can be sure that if we had a 'Advertise with us' link, most people would neither find it nor follow the details.

I know that - NSC had the same but they got 'lost' en route somewhere recently and they're on my list to pop back. Easy to remedy.

Will anyone be offering to get our daughters into employment too? Perhaps a half day course in domestic ironing skills, or a little typing, maybe some cake baking, just so as to give them something to keep busy while the menfolk are out earning a proper wage?

I'm not being awkward over this but as someone who ran a commercial site for many years I am aware of the regulations having had them brought to my attention by Trading Standards for not fully complying with them. You may wish to investigate them for yourself a little further.

If however you do indicate a price, as you have done on this thread, then they must be clear and unambiguous - which they aren't.
