What that Trigaaar and Thunderbolt are in dispute?

Oh no, not that - that's normal round here. I was thinking more about the actual subject of this thread. we DO need another striker, and we also probably need a little more creativity from midfield.

So, get them both!

I don't think this is a hoax, however I doubt very much either player will come to us.

Fair enough, I'd choose 3 wins to go up as a better chance than averaging 2 points per game over 30 games..
Betting exchanges are a good way to get a subjective viewpoint on this:

We're currently 2.64 for promotion on Betfair. I seem to remember that we were a longer price than this in both playoffs - even in 2013, when we were favourites.

the Argus ran the story as well, if I'm not mistaken ?

Only basing it on Hector's tweets:
28th Aug
Hector Heredia, a presenter on Cronica TV in Buenos Aires, last night tweeted: "Today there was a meeting between directors of Brighton and Boca, who asked for 13 million dollars for the goalscorer. The English offered nine.

12th Oct:
They are also believed to be monitoring the situation of Nicolas Lodeiro and Jonathan Calleri, the highly-rated attacking players on whom Argentinian league leaders Boca Juniors could look to cash in once their current season ends in late November.

don't think they have any inside info.

I would think that if we are still in contention in January Signings will be made in an attempt to cement promotion, so hopefully there is some truth in this

Forgive me if asked before, but can a pre-January deal be signed that takes effect from the opening of the transfer window ?

Yes, deals can be signed, and contracts would be legally binding, but the paperwork can't be actioned by the FA until the transfer window opens.

And if so could we apply for any work permits as they normally take ages to sort out or does that have to be done through the fa

Work permit applications ( I think ) start off with making a case to the FA, before they go for further approval with the FA's backing. Not sure if this process can formally start until the window opens.

Can't apply for a work visa until the FA sanction the transfer as until then (no matter what the contract says) the player's employment isn't confirmed
