IF this ends up being true, that's great news.
His stature and friends within the game, should hopefully assist with transfers in and getting quality loanees.
Now over to TB and PB to give him a decent budget ... its should sizeable, based on the well paid players moved on over the last 14 months!?

BBC South East Sport have now tweeted 'At this stage we understand nobody has been offered the manager/head coach job at Brighton. Could all change of course'

Bit late for April Fools from that Independent journo if this is the case... Sacked in the morning!

It's not just the journalist though, all betting markets have been suspended. It also seems to tally with numerous reports over the last few days that indicated that the short-list was between Hantz and Hyypia, and the further report that Hantz has accepted a two-year deal at Reims.

They probably just suspend it as a precuationary thing.

I'd be pleased, and this is from the viewpoint of a resident of the Dalston area, therefore a Hyypster in strides. I very much like his gnarled, Zelda-ish face.

This was in the french press June 3 - translated using google but you get the gist:

Earlier in the day, we discussed potential candidates for the coach of Stade de Reims position after the departure of Hubert Fournier Lyon. Finally, it is Frederic Hantz should be appointed early next week.

According to France Football, the technician of 48 years, out of a great adventure with Bastia, visited the Champagne club yesterday Monday and have agreed to sign a two-year contract, while coach Hantz will be followed by his deputy Reginald Ray. Confirmation expected shortly.

Great news based on what, his 20 minute apprentice at Bayer L and the fact he knows a few people at other football clubs. These people don't come and play for peanuts.

Not sure he's the best man for the job. If Hypia had amanaged in the PL I am sure he would be well down the list given his dissapointing record on his own as maanger. Easy to go for a manager from a Foreign League as people are not so quick to jump on his weaknesses.

In any case if Bloom has picked Sami he will get my full support.
