. . . if it was sung by the Beatles . . which it wasn't.

The Swinging Blue Jeans, although the Beatles did it in early live shows

Beatles classic

I've got the Hyypia Hyppia shakes....

[pedant alert]Although it appears on live albums, The Beatles didn't record this. The UK band that had a hit with it was The Swinging Blue Jeans - it was my favourite record when I was 7. It was actually written by and originally recorded by one Chan Romero (I had to look that up)

And, yes, I have got a life [/pedant alert]

Hyypia is a good choice (although I'd have preferred Hantz). I'm not celebrating until I see him holding the shirt - or scarf as an acceptable substitute

Oh really? Didn't know that. I was bought up on the Swinging Blue Jeans track (my Mum had the 7")

It's on the Live At the BBC album (which is very good) and the Live in Hamburg (which is for massive fans only)

Cue eRnEsT, Kev The Moan and Fat Baz to go into meltdown

Not in the slightest I have always maintained I will support ANY man who is given the job as I would ANY player that pulls on a Brighton shirt. Doesn't mean you have to agree with the initial appointment though does it.
I'm not into following all the other NSC sheep hugging and congratulating each other because they think they're right all the time.
Good luck to him IF it's true, nothing on SSN yet though or anywhere but here.
I hope WHOEVER gets it takes us to the Premier League.
Like I said IF it's Sammi welcome to the Albion Sir do your best !!!!

Here's a chant, to the tune of mr Moonlight by the Beatles:

Sami Hyypia

you came to us, one summer day
and with your football you made our dream
and from the pitch you sent us up...*

It's a work in progress...

*we'll have to wait a season to say that..

They would moan if we signed the best 11 players in the world.Had a 90,000 filled stadium each week and won the premier league and champions league.

Too right!! - only a 90,000 seater stadium!!! - think of the lost matchday ticket and merchandising sales :dunce:
