How many '4 out of 4s' have we got on NSC?

FA Cup Final, Wembley, 1983.

FA Cup Final Replay, Wembley, 1983.

Play-off Final, Wembley, 1991.

Play-off Final, Cardiff, 2004.

All four!

Only the play-off finals. I was a kid for the fa cup final and replay and my mum said she couldn't afford a ticket, while reminding me to only use one sheet of toilet paper while I wiped my arse, because "we didn't have much money". Bitch.

No Hereford?

Fail.

Should be 3/5 for me.

No, and quite intentional - it's the big stadium one-off games I was interested in.
In the words of Elastigirl:

It's not, about, you!

Besides, you didn't mention stadia, you just said Big games :p

Sufficiently elderly to be a full houser.

Wasn't at Hereford though - in floods of tears at home listening to the updates.

All four for me too.

Two defeats and a draw at Wembley. It's time we won one...

Only two from Bozza's list, FA Cup Final & 1991 Play-Off Final, but in my defence I would also add St James's Park 1979 & FA Cup Semi Final Highbury 1983 , which were both pretty big IMO.

Do I detect a smidgeon of bitterness after all these years?

Never forgiven the git, and likely never will. Even had someone willing to cover the shift I was due to do on the day but he still wouldn't let me off, and so I missed arguably one of the biggest days in the clubs history. Going to the replay just wasn't same as missing the big day.

OK, trivia fans - on the two occasions we reached Wembley what unique feats would we have achieved if we had we won our games?

Won the cup and got relegated.

Got promoted with a negative goal difference.

All four. Thought we would lose first Cup Final narrowly ( wrong ) Convinced we would lose replay ( right ) Absolutely confident of beating Notts County ( wrong ) Thought we would lose to Bristol City ( wrong )
On that basis ( and given my normal negativity ) if we make Wembley, I will confidently predict a defeat. Given my big game success rate ( 25% ) there is a good chance of victory.

One, Cardiff.

I suppose I could have been taken to the first playoff final. But I wasn't. :(
