Far more practical, in my view, would be a machine you could attach to a computer keyboard, which then electrocutes anyone who types 'could of' in place of 'could have'.

It's the only way some people are going to learn.

Better still, have the electrocution as part of 'predictive text'.

Trouble with this country, too many pen pushers and not enough Engineers with common sense.

I agree. There are too many pen pushers, but a large percentage of them aren't high in grammatical quality. Myself included!

I would agree with you, but I suspect a very strong argument will be made by the "others"... It's an argument which has raged on for decades, and will probably continue to.
