When Meade Jr was born i'd sometimes take over for a few hours in the night for him to sleep on my chest, and i was required to stay upright and awake at all costs. To do so i'd record all films shown on ITV4, and very quietly watch a number of Sly Stallone films such as Cobra and Cliffhanger and The Specialist. I felt safe in his poorly acted clasp, whilst hopeful that i would be of more meaning to Meade Jr than this classless crud. I'd feed off of it though, and still head ITV4wards of an evening to see if some reasonable action is on that i haven't watched there in the prior month.

I had a similar thought. When Piggle Jnr 2 was born, he suffered from colic. As a consequence, he spent what felt like an eternity crying his eyes out whilst I discovered patience I never knew I had. Watching TV was problematic to say the least but luckily ITV4 had a Jason Statham season. The advantage was that I didn't need any dialogue to follow the plot as my brain slowly died.

The best of the best of these films - or worst, I'm not quite sure - was undoubtedly CRANK. Jason has been injected with something or other that will kill him if his heart rate drops below 55 mph or whatever it is. This means Jase has to spend the entire film, chasing bad people whilst shooting, getting off his tits on drugs, driving cars extremely fast whilst being noshed off, Killing baddies and giving his mrs a good seeing to in a crowded square. Whilst, i'm giving away spoilers, he does eventually meet his maker whilst falling from a plane whilst, as you do, having a scrap without a parachute during the fall. Instead of a tearful farewell, however, Jase is bought back to life for CRANK 2.

If the Godfather series (or 1 and 2 at any rate) is the equivalent of a Fillet Mignon, Crank is the king of Donner Kebabs after a night out on the lash of the Film industry.

I always enjoy those “home invasion” films, usually a young couple or single mother moving into a new neighbourhood to start again fall foul of a seemingly friendly neighbour/cop/new colleague who ends up to be a total psycho who sets about systematically ruining their life.

Pacific Heights kind of kicked off the genre with things like Lakeview Terrace, The hand that rocks the cradle, Cape Fear to follow, all the way up to last year’s awfully enjoyable Unhinged, with a walrus sized Russell Crowe stalking a single Mom who cut him up in traffic.

Just whatch the Tralier for that on youtube, looks like complete unbelivable eyewash cr@p. I might watch it, I will enjoy that. Thanks

Nude Nuns with Big Guns

There is at least one element in its title which makes me prepared to overlook the film's artistic shortcomings.

I hate those movies, my nature can’t take 90 minutes of a creep getting away with it. I want them blasted by scene 2.

Another one was Sleeping With The Enemy.

All using the formula of a classic movie from 1944 - Gaslight (yep …. used for the modern term “gaslighting”).

Mannequin

And I have to admit that I saw it more than once. Bit of a crush on the young (British would you believe) actress Kim Cattrall

I recently saw all the "Fast & The Furious" movies, to see what the fuzz was about.

Saw the first one. "This is pretty shite", I thought, and immediatly watched the other 8... and I know I'll do it again at some point. The Diesel-bloke is looking more and more like Telly Savalas as the series goes on, which is a plus.

Nicholas Cage Wicker Man remake, absolutely love it. People get too precious about comparisons with the original, just enjoy it for the absurdist romp that it is.
