It was too good to be true, this afternoon.

Me and Phil made the fatal mistake of extending our ride at each opportunity while upping the pace.

It was pretty brutal at the end - when will we learn!

That was 'glanders' pace by you today. Did Sharapova give you her unused meds?

Oh no, us mortals are a long long way off that.
We were just being 'flat track bullies', in the sunshine without much wind.

I couldn't ride yesterday. This morning I awoke to a bit of a sore throat, and after a few miles the ring shifter shat itself. Change of route required and no hills. Due a service, so I'll book it in. In the meantime, I'll have to do circuits of my estate. The running seems to have helped my fitness which is a glimmer of hope.

Wow, we're about 300 posts down - must be something football related happening!

On another note - no! no! no!

Was a bit odd that no one on here even mentioned the thrilling finish to Paris-Nice. Nor the farce of Terrino - Adriatico and poor Sagan bagging yet more second places.

Fantasy Spring Classics is now open.

I've even read the rules - well most of them anyway.

All looks a bit complex to me, what with a bigger squad for all the races and transfers too. I'd be up for it but more hoping for a Catalunya simple game to come along for the weekend.

Paris Nice was brilliant viewing, wasn't it?

And whatever you think of Contador, not many riders would have enlivened that last stage as he did. Great stuff.

I was riding those roads last summer. I wish I could be there now.

Totally agree, that last stage was brilliant! Bert is one of the few riders in the peloton able to animate a race like that. In all honesty, I think if that Mount Broulliy stage hadn't been canceled then he would have won, but fair play to G for getting back like that- he owes Henao a big drink for that one!

I think I struggled with 2 decent stages races on at same time.
I watched a few stages, but not the key ones.

All that changes now the spring classic are upon us.
I loves me some Benelux racing.
