Well, we were prepared to pay that for Calleri, so maybe...
Fwiw, I heard some time ago, can't remember where, that QPR were looking to sell in January and would accept £8M. Maybe we are testing the water.
Having said that, I do agree that his wages would be too much, but if we want to get to the premiership and stay there, we are at some point going to have to pay the going rate for players of that callibre.
Maybe now is that time.
