You can say your line up's with a higher degree of predictability than we can :)

How true. "Predict the team" threads don't go very far on UpTheClarets. It's still talk of the town when, three Christmases ago, Dyche made 3 unforced changes for the same match.

And I bet you never spend the half an hour before kick off with a puzzled expression working out which one of your centre backs will be in at full back or which midfielder will be up front

And even better - none of the team ever spend half an hour after kick off working out where they are supposed to be playing!

Our lot tried three centre halves once. We lost 5-1. To be fair, we did have a spell of 4-4-1-1 that worked well.

Dyche will describe us to his players as southern softies who are virtually safe so nothing to play for so get stuck into them hard for 95 minutes and the points will follow as sure as night follows day…..so a nasty, aggressive and bad tempered match beckons, as per.

Burnley have this reputation for being nasty and aggressive but if you measure that by red cards - perhaps not the only way of doing it but its what we have - then Burnley are the only club this season not to have one and i think their red card free run goes back three years. Lewis Dunk alone has had more red cards than Burnley. this season , last season and i think the season before that.

Saturdays match has caused much confusion among our group. It's been so long since we've had a home 3pm Saturday, we'd all forgotten what time we normally meet in the pub :lolol:

Well, the Met Office has issued a "red" weather warning for today for severe wind.

Yes no doubt you are right, but to my mind at least hey who can blame them? It's a tried and tested way of playing that works well for them, and probably what has kept them in the Premier League for a good few seasons, thus far anyway.

Burnley have one of the lowest transfer budgets in the league, and they have to cut their cloth accordingly. I think Sean Dyche is doing a fantastic job there.

Burnley have had 1 red card in the last 5 years in the PL. (We had one in the Europa league in Olympiakos as well. But the ref had been got at.)

What I find interesting is how tactics change, we've stuck with 442 and it was noticeable when we started back up in the Premier league how centre backs found it difficult. In particular both having to mark rather than one able to cover (as most teams had been playing with a single forward for a while.

The reputation is for being subtly niggly and snide. Doing things behind the ref's back and taking things just short of the limit.

Whether that is fair or not, we'll be in a better position to agree on Saturday evening

Absolutely agree.

We may not always approve of the tactics but he has been performing regular minor miracles on the available budget.....

Press conferences today. Potter will damn Burnley with faint praise by saying something like 'They are excellent at what they do', like he does for every team that doesn't try to emulate Guardiola. Dyche will make some reference to us spending loads of money, despite most of our competitors having a larger gross spend than us.

A charity bet for a fiver that the phrasing is "they play in a certain way"?

I know what you mean. I'm going to this one and want to go to Dick's bar but not sure what time it opens?

Burnley are the biggest bunch of fallers in the entire league. Constantly falling over, feigning injury, begging for set pieces. They're pathetic and hopefully they'll finally go down this season and become the Championship's problem.

Being competent in the "dark arts" is an essential compenent in their Dyche make-up.
