EU signs trade deal with NZ which is much better than the one we agreed. all that lovely sovereignty paying off...

So new New Zealand gets into the Horizon programme ahead of the UK. You won't read that in any of the gutter press here.

Bet EU farmers haven't been screwed either...

That will be because they are the economically larger, politically more powerful and far less desperate party in that particular trade negotiation.

As has been pointed out repeatedly on this thread for over 7 years now, huge advantages in any trade negotiation :dunce:

and NZ are members of the CPTTP, the UK joining forces with them was hailed as a Brexit victory and yet EU got a superior trade deal with NZ and aren't members of CPTTP

Post-Brexit UK border food checks delayed again on inflation fears

UK ministers are set to announce a further delay to post-Brexit border controls on animal and plant products coming from the EU, amid fears that extra bureaucracy on imported goods will fuel inflation.

'Get Brexit Done', 'Take Back Control'

Nearly three years after the EU Got Brexit Done and Took back control on day 1, we still haven't because we have f***ed up our economy so badly, it can't take another yet another Brexit hit, so we just have to keep delaying controls on the British side of the border. If only someone had told us what would happen before the referendum.

On and on and on it goes, death to the British economy by a thousand cuts, cost of living, lack of workers, Industries dying, raging inflation triggering this week's Brexit benefit, falling house prices

Bottled it on customs import checks again. We can’t afford Brexit.

Meanwhile UK exporters suck it up

'Taking Back Control'

Yet here we are, three years on, not daring to put import controls in place because of what it will do to inflation

It really didn't need Einstein to see what would happen if we tried to put import controls on our biggest importers

Didn't seem to stop them introducing controls on British exports day one though :shootself

The government have kicked it so far down the road it means that the future labour government will have to deal with the shit sandwich they have created. What a legacy of destruction and failure this bunch of crooks, liars and racists are leaving in their wake.
