If all of the players were as good as we wanted them to be (all the time), they wouldn't be playing for the Albion. A little perspective is required.

I spotted that.

I trust the Telegraph implicitly on football rumours.

Except for the completely guessing:

“After seeing a bid for Enzo Fernandez rejected by Benfica and being told that Brighton want more than £65m for Moises Caicedo, Chelsea have been forced to consider other midfield options”.

No one on the planet except TB/PB knows the figure or range, that’s if there is one in mind.

I’m not sure you can argue with Brighton want more than 65m for Moises Caicedo! :ROFLMAO:

Bissouma to Chelsea would make a lot of sense but I can't see Spurs selling. Would make them look very bad to sell to a direct competitor especially if he then performs better for Chelsea than he has for Spurs.
I think Conte would prefer the £35m to spend on a new player than Bissouma whom he just can’t get a tune from. For Potter, it would be a real coup.

But where’s the £65m figure come from?

Just made up by liars, with no more knowledge than you or I.
If we assume the journalist himself didn't pluck it out the air

Chelsea insider: so what sort of price for Caicedo?
Brighton insider: <raises eyebrows >
Chelsea: £50million?
Brighton: chuckle
Chelsea: £60 million? £65 million?
Brighton: hahahaha, oh my gosh, hahaha.

I assume that he did (lie).

He’s not a respected sports writer or dare I say …. Fabrizio Romano, who finds out some transfers before others.

Ben Jacobs is simply a bullshitter. I’ve come across the daily avalanche of tripe he makes up regarding other clubs too. When you listen to the respected football writers connected to those teams, they politely dispel everything he and others are concocting.
