Ince's cameo yesterday might have changed some views on whether a holding midfielder could be useful..........

If only there was more than one holding midfielder on the planet.

Sam says No to Leeds:

“Certainly, his career needs to get back on track and, realistically, his career is not at Leeds and not here.

“If Brighton are interested in taking him back, where he had such a good career, it would be better for us all if that was the case.”

Its All Too Beautiful
It was never going to work for either of these (Bridcutt and Buckley). Tapped up by Poyet, young men seeing the pound notes and believing they were better than they were. They're not coming back, have no place here and unfortunately have now past their best even at such a young age.

Yes, but then why wouldn't he have, the loans still in place. If the article posted is correct it merely suggests that allardyce would prefer a permanent deal on January and that leeds perhaps can't afford that

http://www.90min.com/posts/2792642-leeds-united-could-lose-on-loan-midfielder-liam-bridcutt-in-january-despite-agreement - Leeds manager Steve Evans also expressed his hopes that Bridcutt would decide to stay at Elland Road - though the club do not have enough funds to buy him.

http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/sport/football/leeds-utd/leeds-boss-steve-evans-has-plan-should-liam-bridcutt-head-back-to-brighton-1-7618434 - LEEDS United manager Steve Evans is confident that Liam Bridcutt will agree to extend his loan at Elland Road to the end of the season despite the distraction that Championship leaders Brighton plan to sign the midfielder next month. Bridcutt’s emergency loan at United runs to January 2 and finishes after their game at home to MK Dons.

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/sunderland-keen-offload-liam-bridcutt-10588860 - Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce would prefer to sell Liam Bridcutt in the transfer window rather than extend his loan spell at Leeds United

If we lose Kayal or Stephens to injury/red card etc - it's now become clear we don;t have great cover (Ince/Crofts started v Preston!!). Whilst I don't like the way he left, he'd be a great third option for that middle role. Will have learned a lot in the Prem (nearly MOM against Hull in Leeds win apparently). I'd take him.

Surely that's why we signed towell to cover kayal or Stevens
