Multi cultural Amex

We need to establish what we're supposed to be talking about here. 'Culture' isn't necessarily race or ethnicity. If the question relates to a lack of diversity at the Amex, then ok. Multiple cultures exist across the place, from those who like to drink, those who don't, those who are affluent or cheap, those who like wearing football shirts as opposed to a three-piece suit, and those who prefer to stand instead of sit.

Culture is not specified within the Equality Act as a protected characteristic and so is not particularly relevant to the representation of minorities at Albion games; minorities as described within legislation at least.

Yeah but multicultural can mean multiple cutural OR ethnic groups in society. In this instance it is pretty clear from the OPs question & subsequent exchanges that he and most people are primary referring to ethnicity. I think.

i don't think it's based on colour at all. I know the difference between ethnicity and culture thank you.

Southampton is multicultural. Enormous Eastern European communities that simply aren't there in brighton. But perhaps I just haven't noticed them as they are white, and there are loads. But there aren't.

It's a very homogenous town that's been solid Tory for most of its history. That in itself doesn't make it boring, but blimey you can almost sense the desperation in some of its residents to tell anyone who will listen how vibrant liberal and diverse it is.

How would a racist know what culture is? they don't respect anyone else's views so how oculist they ever understand the concept of culture of any kind. Its a dumb question, The North Stand is full of middle aged blokes who used to stand in the North at the goldstone, its going to have less black and brown faces in it because there were'n't that many black and brown albion fans in the seventies and eighties - it isn't that way because they didn't let the blacks in its happened because they aren't that bothered about sitting in that stand.

Yes but Brighton has always had lots of people passing through it and many come from other cultures and countries - People come here stay a while and move on they might not become albion supporters , In recent years loads have moved down from London they probably already support London clubs - they probably won't ever support the Albion - the op here has trouble understanding what Brighton as a City is about.

Using his logic because we have a large Gay community we should have masses of Gay albion fans but thats not happened either

Nah: smarter rascists absolutely understand and exploit cultural issues. They actively and overtly play on the percievd threat to the current majority customs, ways of thinking and behaviours apparently posed by multiculturalism etc.

If by culture you mean ethnicity, then perhaps a few of us could black-up every game if it makes you feel good about yourself?
