This. I’m not aware of anyone that had to show ID to attend a game so far…….certainly wasn’t being checked at the Amex. Didn’t even know it was a requirement - looking at the rules seems like it would only be required if there was a problem with your ticket Do I have to carry my ID/passport or...

I’ve noticed watching Lewes regularly how the young girls in the crowd (plus the mascots) treat the players like heroines - they’re absolute role models for these kids and giving them something to aspire to. Incidentally also good to see how accommodating the players are with selfies, autographs...

Spot on. Will be interesting to see how this tournament is used to promote the women’s game - particularly locally. I know the ‘fan engagement officer’ at Lewes is all over it.

The continual comparison with the men’s game to diss the women’s sport is nonsensical………could do the same with countless other sports (cricket, golf, athletics, hockey, tennis etc etc etc). So what ? Also, the players are technically better than county league men but sure, they wouldn’t be able...

Haha, if you set foot on the pitch some of those girls would batter you in a 1-1 for pace, strength, composure and anticipation. Junior played football up to u18s at a decent level but he’s levels below Championship players (tier 2) on everything but sprinting :lolol::lolol:

I got stuck for a bit going up The Drove to Woodingdean around 6.15 as there was a minor accident about half way up. The coppers were doing a ‘stop/go’ thing allowing traffic past it (including the two team buses that came down the hill). Walking back up after the game I’ve never seen as many...

Every Brighton home match the cars parked on the verges get ticketed, but for some reason the hordes parked along the Drove tonight and last Monday didn’t get nabbed…….I didn’t see any cars parked on the road when walking down or back up though (the reason it’s double-yellowed all the way is, I...

No-one left early……… Just got home (via a detour as the police also closed The Drove for some reason). What a brilliant night. Gutsy performance in a great atmosphere. Fantastic stuff.

Just got home. Really enjoyed that…..wouldn’t want the high pitched squealing and clackers every week but the place was bouncing. Imagine (and hope) Uncle Tony was immensely proud to see it.

There’s a Lewes player in the NI squad (McKenna). Did one of the best tackles I saw all season in their last league game v Liverpool.
