I hope he signs that new deal... It does seem they may have drawn a line under it and moved on (as he's been in the squad) although he's paying for it with his place in the team (serves him right). My word we missed his height and arial ability Saturday though. Really needed him - Blackburn...
Most interesting bit of that article is that (if true) we really are trying to keep him! Offered an improved deal - I think the Argus had said that before too. Very suprised as we'd have 4 good centre halves...
If the article is based on this thread then yes it is a total disgrace... But there's usually no smoke without fire. If it's true then Dunk really can do one - I think the club would have contacted NSC and asked for the removal of the thread if it wasn't true though? They do monitor NSC closely....
Sorry, for adding some humour to the proceedings... I'm aware of course that the other 773 posts on this thread have been extremely informative and entertaining
Going to Palace for £3mil plus we're getting G. **** Murray back...
According to one of those transfer twitter accounts with 1000 followers, and looking at their previous tweets they just make stuff up and get it wrong... (we were signing Buckley 3 weeks ago according to them)
Well, I'm afraid to say reports from Huddersfield confirmed what most of us already knew - Greer will struggle to do 4 games in 10 days and started to get very sloppy at the end of the game. Obviously, Dunk would be starting and our defence would be stronger if he stayed. We're going to need a...
Let's be honest here. None of us know what the budget is like, exactly what the offer is like etc. We've spent out a lot and I guess need to balance the books a bit. In an ideal world we'd all like one of our best young players to stay. But it's not as simple as that... If it's a case of we have...
Yeh I'm sort of guessing the German is of adequate ability based on the fee paid and the good reports from Fulham. I love GG and all his qualities you've mentioned but can't see his body holding up to regular first team football all year. He has let some players have good leaps on him and win...
IMO it's an easy one - Dunk is streets ahead of Greer. There - I said it. (mainly an age thing - Greer has started the season well but also has had a bit of luck - a few times letting players have free headers etc)
TBH how you can say Dunk is 'prone to losing the plot' when comparing him to...
The German and Dunk will surely be the no1 partnership if Dunk were to stay. Greer is pretty old now and not at the same level as Dunk and presumably the German lad... This makes me think there's more to Dunk being 'rested' than Hughton lets on - I don't have a problem with that, and clubs bend...
Don't agree with this attitude. We've had one fairly lucky win yesterday without Dunk (not counting tin pot cup). He without doubt makes us stronger and I for one am not letting one last min win take away the fact we would be much stronger with Dunk playing. I just think one win or one lose...
So, given Hughtons comments & the fact he was on The bench can we safely say the 'refusing to play' thing was bollocks. Oh and he was stripped & ready to play at one point
I'm sure there's more to it than Hughton let on and expect him to go but don't think anyone should taint him with be...
