I actually thought he gave very well reasoned arguments as to why it should be refused. He also said that he could see it being passed when it comes back.
Councillor West is actually right. There is a danger of it setting a poor precedent.
That said, they need to come back with solid reasons as to why it should be built.
You can't just say 'sour taste' to turn it down, and you can't say 'oh, the stadium is there already' to approve it.
"I've got almost a sour taste in my mouth."

You can not see that part of Bennett's field from Stamner Park. You just can't. It's utter dross. All this stuff about National Park is rubbish.
I agree with councillor Miller that if the officers suggest refusal, then councillors would have to have very good reasons to go against it...
