As I said, I only read 1 of the 7 or 8 pieces in detail. I did go back afterwards looking for something with a bit more data behind it, and the Minford piece gave a very strong set of conclusions. Unfortunately his piece was headed up with a large number of assumptions that were dubious to say...
It says that he is on their website. It might be different now but he was in that role when he helped write and produce the pamphlet.
Can't be bothered to look through everyone else's bios but I did read Gerry's bit in the pamphlet. It's an awful lot of supposition and insinuation, but not a...
Credible isn't the same as independent. Gerard Lyons is in the pay of the office of one of the Remain camp's leaders, which seems to fail the definitions of independent you quoted above.
Shame there's nothing in the article that suggests that QPR will pay up if the decision goes against them. Just another delaying tactic as far as I can see, given Fernandes' "defence" in the article.
Thanks for responding. That makes the IFS numbers make more sense.
It does however make it significantly worse for the IMF (now down to 0.0016% of their overall budget).
The OECD budget page does seem quite convinced that its budget comes from member countries, although even if the EU did...
Did you expect me to respond to:
which is a cheap way of avoiding any intelligent interrogation of the information being put forward?
Or did you expect me to respond to:
which is a bunch of your own personal supposition that you decided to label as fact?
I hadn't seen this table before so thought I'd take a look to see if I could find any substance behind the numbers.
First off: IMF. I couldn't find a breakdown of their income but their net 2015 administrative expenditure was just north of $1bn. So the EU contribution, whatever it might be...
My guess on how this resolves, and it is only a guess, is that there will be some combination of a reduction in interest rates on the debt and a moratorium on repayments. It's also possible that the debt could be repackaged and sold, although that would probably be the special Greece bailout...
I can't help but notice that the comments here have been headed in the general direction of being far more offensive the past week or two. Are the two sides really so polarised? If so it doesn't bode well for after the referendum, irrespective of the result.
The above is not my position, it's just more rubbish that you've made up and somehow believe you can attribute to me. You can't.
You've failed to explain what you find "truly shocking" about the numbers despite being given multiple opportunities. You jump from one ill-informed point to...
Don't put words in my mouth. You call the numbers "truly shocking" yet they show that the % of immigrant population in prison is commensurate with the % of native population in prison. So again, what is it that you find "truly shocking"?
I doubt that the parents of a raped and murdered child...
