Also good to see RDZ mix things up a little in formation etc.

Everyone kicking off at his interview, without listening to the whole thing - especially the last few mins.

Press will always take bits out of context, which with non native speaker always sound worse. If you listen to his pre match press conference, first half sounds quite punchy towards Tony etc. but last few mins he clarifies himself and says specifically he's not looking at any other clubs or jobs and is only focused on Brighton.

Not sure what everyone wants from him, but he's saying he's focused on the club and wants to chat with Tony about ambition and targets for himself and the clubs future. That's exactly what I want from my manager personally - someone driving us forwards and is honest / transparent about things with us, instead of pointless guff most managers spout at press events.

Reality is we need a bigger squad if we want to continue to compete in Europe. He wants that, we need that. He's making sure he's not hamstrung by a squad decimated by injuries again next season as we are playing so many games.

He'll also want more people to analyse matches of other teams as the people that did a good job last season now have half the time to prepare for games. Imagine if you had to do your job in half the time overnight - not possible and quality will slip. Needs both adjustment to new way of working but also more personnel across the whole of the club.

Good post.

While talking about big clubs getting away without bookings (Diaz committed as many fouls as us and three were bad - no booking) - three mins into the Arsenal city match and most blatant yellow ever is allowed to pass. “It is a big game so don’t want to go to cards early” - it was a booking. Show the card. It is not fair on clubs who don’t get the free hits.

Heading back to Liverpool centre. All considered we had some good individual performances. Have to say, what imo was worst sub/bench opportunities, decisions for a long while. Barco, warming up for what felt like 30 mins. Fati and Buonanotte itching to get on. Giving Barco 2 mins at the end. Leaving Lamptey on 15 minutes to long.

Only two days off before the next game though……..suspect Facu and Fati will start on Weds

Jurgen Klopp speaking to BBC MOTD

"I would have loved to not be 1-0 down, I would love to have been four or five nil up but that's the best we played against De Zerbi's Brighton."

"Playing wise it was really good, defending wise, yes always a struggle but there's been games against Brighton we were never close but this time we were calm."

"Brighton have incredible quality. That is the measure I have for how good we were today because I really respect them. They had chances, they took more risks all of a sudden and we got slightly tired."

Of course it's always easy to be generous in victory, but Klopp's observations are a helpful anchor in the storm of disappointment.

The only disappointment this season, is purely down to the fact that we have lost so many key players through injuries - note the use of 'key'.
Given that, I think we have/are doing incredibly well, even though it doesn't live up to some folk's expectations.
I also truly hope that we manage to hold on to RDZ for next season. Remember, although the grass did turn out greener, last time, it may well not do the same next time.
Anyhow, that was a great watch, despite the result and could have been far, far worse.
Yeh. This will go down in my memory as the "we played in Europe and if we'd not had such a horrendous run of injuries we could have done something incredible" season

I only caught the last 10 minutes as I’d been at work, but it looks like Liverpool were holding on a bit at the end, taking time with goal kicks, injury time subs, that sort of thing.

Such a shame we‘re playing without JP, Mitoma, Solly, Jack, Gilmour and Enciso. They’d have made a difference, as would an on form Ferguson.

There’ll be easier games.

I think RDZ was desperately trying to make this point to the board in January 🤣

I think he said very much the same in the build up. Though worried about his extended pre match convo with RDZ. Was he checking what office furniture he wanted?

Our season is fizzling out. We need BIG SAM in now to put some steel back in our defence and powder puff midfield.

RDZ out
Not sure she'd be of much help, but works for me.

He has been exhibiting these symptoms for a long time. If I remember correctly, he once posted that he vents on NSC because, otherwise, he might do physical damage. That is very unhealthy imo and he should get help if that is the case.
Yes. Well, there does come a point where antagonizing people may start to invite comment.

There are other posters (I won't say who) that often draw flack but who have admitted to some issues (in some cases via PM) and I find it quite easy to post kindly replies to them, having been somewhat triggered by them initially.

I agree with the comments that it is better to try to be kind, but I admit that I find my first reaction can often be very unkind. It is a work in progress

I wasn’t responding to anyone directly, we played ok with out any urgency going backwards when forwards seemed the better option at times.
I hadn't noticed that. Is it a new tactic? ???
