I think he probably just lacks emotional maturity
and an understanding of what’s being asked systematically at the moment - the talent is there so increasing minutes and training will be enough (depending on his willingness to listen to his coaches!)
After 100 games for us he ought to be fully up to speed by now.

Oh.....hang on.....

Alexis was quality. Has anyone seen a replay of his studs up challenge on Baleba? Looked naughty to me. In fact Gomez got away with second yellow too.

That said the best team won.

Positives
1. Baleba looked brilliant.
2. Moder fit
3. Bart has to stay as number 1
4. Dunk and JPVH were very good and each had moments of sensational skill in a tight spot. Flairy.

Negatives
1. Estu had a shocker.
2. Lamptey is normal speed now.
3. Lalana was brought on rather than Fati.
4. Facundo on the right is stupid.
Your positives single out the 5 players I thought were brilliant today. Baleba, Moder, JP, Dunk and Bart. Veltman in the last 15 mins too.

They had 30 shots I really dont think we were as good as some think. Also not as bad as some say
If they had gone 2 up early doors they would have ended up having far fewer shots.

2:1 is a very respectable result for us against one of the best teams in top flight football - we made them work for a result on a day when they were really fighting for it and an interesting set up today by RDZ compensating for a weakened midfield without Billy and 3 under-performing strikers in the squad.

Danny deserves a medal 😍

Heh Klopp - you think you know us pretty well 😜

I enjoyed the game nice goal by Welbeck although apart from that we didn’t test the keeper so I’m not going to get carried away like some are.
No one is carried away, but hopefully it puts paid (for now, at least) to the doom merchants who were convinced we were in for a thrashing.

Great showing. Liverpool for gods sake, top of the table team...It would have been an upset if we won, and they were playing us like they knew we could have upset them. Really good game with a few of our players out again, great start from Wellbeck.....Poor Barco up against the best right backs in the business...Sad to lose, but no shame in that game at all!

Happy with that performance, especially when you compare squads and look at our injury list.

They are top of the league and we took the game to them. Fair result but we had our chances.

We didn't have a Pedro / Encico create player to unlock their defence, but even so we had them hanging on at the end.

Very happy to see Verbruggen getting solid run of games. And Beleba.

Wellbeck excellent today.

With our injury hit squad this was a pretty good performance considering. Hopefully no new injuries but Baleba looked like he was struggling the last few minutes. Need to win against Brentford next game to continue our move towards the Euro spots.

Sat back after the goal and let them in.
Much better 2nd half and had chances.
Goalie was close to getting a hand on the ball on their second.
RDZ doesn't seem the same bloke any more, Klopp keeping the jacket warm for him.
Got to be up at 6 so nighty night.

Think he just looked absolutely knackered……

If you genuinely think this poster has mental health issues then responding 4 times in a couple of minutes to their posts, and in that tone, possibly isn't the most sensitive thing to do.

Let's try and be kind to each other.
He has been exhibiting these symptoms for a long time. If I remember correctly, he once posted that he vents on NSC because, otherwise, he might do physical damage. That is very unhealthy imo and he should get help if that is the case.

The only disappointment this season, is purely down to the fact that we have lost so many key players through injuries - note the use of 'key'.
Given that, I think we have/are doing incredibly well, even though it doesn't live up to some folk's expectations.
I also truly hope that we manage to hold on to RDZ for next season. Remember, although the grass did turn out greener, last time, it may well not do the same next time.
Anyhow, that was a great watch, despite the result and could have been far, far worse.

Also good to see RDZ mix things up a little in formation etc.

Everyone kicking off at his interview, without listening to the whole thing - especially the last few mins.

Press will always take bits out of context, which with non native speaker always sound worse. If you listen to his pre match press conference, first half sounds quite punchy towards Tony etc. but last few mins he clarifies himself and says specifically he's not looking at any other clubs or jobs and is only focused on Brighton.

Not sure what everyone wants from him, but he's saying he's focused on the club and wants to chat with Tony about ambition and targets for himself and the clubs future. That's exactly what I want from my manager personally - someone driving us forwards and is honest / transparent about things with us, instead of pointless guff most managers spout at press events.

Reality is we need a bigger squad if we want to continue to compete in Europe. He wants that, we need that. He's making sure he's not hamstrung by a squad decimated by injuries again next season as we are playing so many games.

He'll also want more people to analyse matches of other teams as the people that did a good job last season now have half the time to prepare for games. Imagine if you had to do your job in half the time overnight - not possible and quality will slip. Needs both adjustment to new way of working but also more personnel across the whole of the club.
