I can accept that Biden is useless. But I struggle to label him a socialist. And your reasons for backing Trump are no different from those of the Germans who decided Hitler was a good idea
How is Biden useless? He has the US economy growing at 5%. UK and Europe will be lucky to get 0.5%, they are booming

Why on earth would anyone want to risk it with wanabee dictator Trump. A danger to democracy at home and abroad

I was being generous to the person to who I replied, accepting on face value that his kids' situation has got worse for reasons attributable to Biden.

I am myself concerned with Biden's gaffes, which could mean that he is no longer compos mentis, albeit this judgement is surely the preserve of the doctors who certify the sanity of the president, so again my comment may be harsh.

And you are right about the economy.

Of course Las Vagan may simply be loading absurd blame onto Biden when the real problem is something else. Not everyone who finds it hard to earn a good wedge is qualified to earn a good wedge, or wise enought to not attempt to live beyond their means.

I am happy with the rest of my assertion that to back Trump cannot be justified, and to do so (especially by blaming socialism for one's children's lack of material wealth, and mentioning immigrants) smacks of the same superficiality and self-obsession that allowed the Germans to cross the rubicon into the arms of the cheap promises of fascism.

Because this is utterly nonsense. Talk of political narrative superceding reality.

Biden, old and decrepit as he is, is not a socialist he's a centrist and the Democrats are far more centrist than our own Labour Party. You simply cannot equate Biden to AOC or Bernie Sanders who are true socialists. fwiw, I am most certainly not a socialist and agree that Sanders type would be economically ruinous. To paint Biden in that category is entirely false.

The GOP are not a conventional right wing party, if ever they truly were, they are now an extremist party beholden and enslaved to a criminal who lies and lies and has absolutely no problem trying to convince everyone that his made up lies are reality.

I admire real conservatives like Liz Cheney and Mitt Romney for standing up for truth in the face of what is now an extremist cult. How do you feel about? that real and proper, contentious conservatives are getting careers destroyed for daring to talk truth about this cult. The party of Reagan is dead.

You should be supporting real conservatives in the Lincoln project not endorsing this utter Charlatan who has been a democrat longer than a RINO.

And what of what's happened in the global economy to oil prices which caused global Inflation, here in UK in the EU in Australia, Canada and every western nation to similar degree, you believe such idiots narratives you quote, that it was just Biden?

However bad you may perceive Biden, what is actually on the ballot isn't one old man v another old man, not economy nor immigration or border. Its US Democracy or dictatorship. For if the citizens of one of the greatest nations on earth don't suddenly get a grip, then just like the Germans did in 1933, they will democratically vote in a dictatorial psychopath who will piece by piece dismantle the democratic system of government, sack all independent civil servants, throw long standing US security allies under the bus as he kowtows to its real enemies out of personal vanity.

Really, any sane American should vote for absolutely anyone or anything Versus Trump, for 4 years of any other President is better than the end of US democracy and its further decent into cult of personality dictatorship.
Yes, Yes, Yes! Absolutely what he said ☝️

It let me access it from Japan. Biggest load of right wing twatwaffle I’ve ever read. Thanks for giving a little perspective as to what people like you are actually reading in order to turn your brains into jelly though. I find it amazing that you manage to generate enough power to fire the motor neurons that move your arms and hands in order to switch your computer on.

You know some stuff isn't available in other countries for a range of reasons, the eU is bringing in Censorship laws and is getting arse ache about twitter/X. I'm sure you would find that amazing in your ignorant wonder kind of way.

I think you will find that you are on the side with the farce It's called an election farce believing that the election was stolen. That is the freakiest stupidest thing to believe cuz there's never been anyone I know to have proof that it happened just a lot of supposition that well it sounds funny It's kind of weird but it isn't when you think of all the weird things that we're going on with the pandemic at the time. can't you get that through your freaking head.!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure if the Democrats had agreed to an independent investigation it would of put my mind to rest, although yours is already settled regardless. I seem to remember the UK had an independent investigation into postal vote fraud. Did that traumatise you?

There’s no need to introduce conspiracy theories over ‘censorship’ with the link that is not working for European users here - Sometimes the sound of hooves are only horses not zebra.

As I said, the OhioNewsExpress website posted above does not comply with EU data protection regulation (which is often resolved simply by tweaking the website tracking permissions) nothing to do with ‘censorship’. That is what the 451 error code is that we see when hitting the link.

Don’t be silly - The only people who could be traumatised by an investigation into electoral fraud would be those committing an offence or those like President Trump, making false allegations about electoral fraud for political gain but were subsequently proven their allegations were unfounded.

In the UK as well as the States, there is no evidence to suggest the existence of widespread fraud in elections - every allegation gets investigated;

The investigation into voter fraud that you are probably referring to was that carried out by this Tory Government as a prelude to introducing an unpopular voter photo registration ID - the investigation found no evidence that voter fraud was happening on a scale that could impact election results (as was also the case decided by numerous Courts in the US Election when Trump initiated claims in 2020) and most incidences recorded as ‘fraud’ related to campaign literature …in fact it was subsequently acknowledged by the UK Government’s own Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee looking into voter ID registration as part of the Elections Bill inquiry in 2021 that;

“When academics have studied electoral fraud in other established democracies, where it is also claimed to be common, they tend to conclude that it is in fact very rare. Accusations of electoral fraud, however, are often thought to be very common because they can be made by politicians seeking to undermine the legitimacy of the winner or to make the case for more restrictive electoral laws, from which they might gain partisan advantage.[6]

I think Trump’s actions since the 2020 Election results have proved that to be the case don’t you?

The Committee went on to report that:

  • In a vibrant civil society, it is incumbent on the government to endeavour to increase political participation by expanding voters’ rights. The US case rightly highlights that the introduction of voter ID legislation reduced voter participation, and it is suggested that this was disproportionately high among racial and ethnic minority groups.[17] Attempting to impose more barriers to entry will only cause a groundswell of political apathy, and it will serve to disenfranchise those wanting to exercise their suffrage who will now not have the means to do so. This, in conjunction with the upcoming 2023 boundary review, translates into a partisan dilution of democracy. The government should instead look to address the fact that millions of people are left off the electoral register, to review anachronistic campaign laws and to empower the Electoral Commission with investigatory powers comparable to those of the Information Commissioner’s Office to tackle the new battleground of digital campaigning.

A brief history of Biden‘s career, albeit from a conservative tv host. But if the shoe fits…

I‘m a conservative, as you well know, but it boggles my mind that socialism (and Marxism as espoused by others on this thread) is considered a better alternative. Has nobody ever read a history book?

Right now my kids can barely afford to put gas in their cars, feed their family and heat their house, all due to his ridiculous economic and energy policies. Not to mention immigration and foreign policy. Who can honestly say that the world is a safer place today than it was a few years ago.
The reason your kids are suffering is due to the ‘trickle down economics’ put in place by that well known Democratic sorry Republican Ronald Reagan. Who single handily gave the American rich the chance to get richer at the expense of everyone else. To justify the obscene levels of wealth, the super rich claim anything that looks to reduce their wealth and improve the lot of the poor is an act of Socialism…. And you mugs fall for it.
its not socialism and never was, you lot are just so indoctrinated that they can do what they want.

Trumplestiltskin ordered to pay $362500 costs after a frivolous claim against the NY Times was thrown out. Expect the Grifter-In-Chief to launch a Go-Fundme/new batch of NFT baseball cards to pay for it

Yep - he'll just get his acolytes to send him some money to pay it, citing the Judge as one of those conspiring against him in this mega witch hunt

It's a weird phenomenon that the Maga fans are so resolutely against the idea of chipping in a fraction of their income to help those less fortunate - base level assistance with Healthcare etc - yet without so much as a seconds thought willingly throw their money at such a wonderful, amazing, successful - the most bigglyestly successful - billionaire evah!1!one! whenever he gets into a scrape.

They don't 'fall for it', inexplicably the reason for allowing it to happen is even worse.

That being 'hey I'm American one day I too will be super rich'.

You dont appear to know what a conspiracy theory is. Its not a conspiracy theory where hidden behaviour of a malevolent kind takes place its an accusation which can be shown to be right or wrong. In this case wrong.

Thats not what I remember,

Postal voting is open to fraud on an "industrial scale" and is "unviable" in its current form, a top judge has said.
Richard Mawrey QC, who tries cases of electoral fraud, told the BBC that people should not be able to apply for postal votes as a matter of course.
"On demand" postal voting had not boosted turnout or simplified the process for the vulnerable, he said.
But the Electoral Commission said it would not be "proportionate" to end postal voting altogether.
The government also said it had no plans to abolish the current system, saying it had made it easier for many people to vote.
Since 2001, anyone on the electoral roll has been able to apply for a postal ballot.
In January, the Electoral Commission said it was particularly concerned about 16 council areas in England.
In some of those areas, the BBC has heard allegations that political activists are pressuring families into voting for their candidate, or taking ballot papers away to fill them in, which is illegal."

In the last US election of votes cast over 40% were postal. Hmmmmmmmmmm.

"Open to Fraud" is a long way away from "Evidence of Fraud Happening".

One is a hypothetical possibility, the other is an actuality.
