One thing is clear though.

If you disagree with the OP you must be 'part of the liberal elite' or 'showing how right on you are' yet also he is upset because when he posts his 'off piste' opinion he doesn't like the name calling.

I am still yet to read any real substantial evidence that lead the OP to his opinion. The only conclusion I can reach is that said opinions are ill thought out and based on some degree of prejudice.

Certainly his wish on this thread seems to be to argue with people rather than discuss the points he was making. Add this to the disgusting comments and opinions on the women's football thread one can only deduce that this chap is either a moron or a troll. It cannot surely surprise him that he received such a reaction to his half arsed thread based on prejudiced opinions and minimal facts.

Of course the OP will now dismiss my opinion by telling himself that I am trying to 'show how right on I am' and that I am part of the 'liberal intellectual elite*.

It is probably worth noting here that their is a big difference between having an unpopular opinion and spouting ill thought out and unsubstantiated nonsense just to get a reaction (I can't really fathom any other reason for this thread).


*I am proud to be a liberal, I think it is important to try and use ones intelligence to understand and form opinions, I have never been elite at much but one has to have goals. So I guess this insult is really a compliment)

'Incendiary'? Me saying Sol Campbell used to (pre Maaclesfield and Southend) to wave the 'race card' when couldn't get a managerial position but Robbie Fowler can't do that and what the hell is a journeyman manager (Chris Powell) doing in the England set up? I don't think anyone has got to the bottom of what or who this 'liberal elite' are. Or what 'being right on' is. Or, indeed, with what the problem of being intelligent actually is.

Does anyone have an issue with being 'liberal' (aside from the OP)? And who are this minority that forms this 'elite'? Can he name names? The reason I ask is that the majority on this thread are taking his fantasy whimsy from the first post apart - and a majority is hardly an 'elite'.

The fact is, the first post had little basis in reality. It was a thin strand of other-world thinking, contrived and wrapped into a point of view that had kidded itself on there being a racial element to his fantasy. In short, all the post was there to do was challenge anyone to prove him right, or - far more likely - he wanted to set in train a tirade of self-important abuse in order to have an argument with anyone who called him out on his drivel.

It was there purely to be a self-fulfilling prophecy. Hence a moron and a troll.
