I reject that generalisation, as there are people like @Buzzer who I know ARE normal, decent people who genuinely think Leave is the right choice - for honest, reasonable factors.

But yes, there do seem to be a significant percentage of shouty, frothy-mouthed, oddballs in that corner, too.

It's been noticeable on pretty much every radio phone-in, television debate, letters in the local paper, etc - a calm Remain argument, followed by some Leave shouting and ranting. I pity those sensible Leave supporters, who must listen to it and wish they'd shut up.

It's all fair enough. He'd be happy sitting next to Anjem Choudary because he's normal but he wouldn't sit next to John Cleese. Makes perfect sense.

It's Brighton as a whole...places up north will be the opposite...still think "out" will Nick it as I'm completely perplexed to why anyone would want to be dictated to by a bunch of cronies that theoretically are not needed in the EU as a whole.
They sit in Brussels raking in billions getting super high wages and privileges and make up policies as they go along...Just a glorified agency!!!

Time for the real passionate Brits to stand up instead of being weak and scared of the Unknown....The EU is horrific and it's done nothing for Southern Europe.

Well that's just stupid. If the house of your dreams is available for a knock down price because of a leaky roof, you wouldn't buy it despite the fact that you could definitely fix it after purchase.

Unfortunately it's extremely unlikely we can fix the EU.

People from countries around the EU will always put their country first, while trying to get as much as they can from the others. It's not like the USA where people from different states generally see themselves as Americans first and foremost.

Get the hell out!

Definitely can't fix it from the outside. Top pendantry with my leaky roof analogy though.

I wonder if people in Europe would feel more European in time if we all retreated to our separate countries, or if we created some sort of Union where we co-operated and assisted each other?

Junker no more reform, straight from the horses mouth. If you are hoping
for reform if we remain, forget it.

You're misrepresenting the article. He is stating no more negotiating on the UK's deal that DC has agreed, which the government has not claimed would be happening anyway. This is not EU reform in general. In fact, only the headline has the word 'reform', presumably as click bait...

You're deliberately missing the point. We already DO have the say! This has been pointed out to you repeatedly but you ignore it because you have no answer.

Amazing looking at the various social media platforms how personally abusive and threatening many leave supporters are becoming as their hopes seem to fade. Unfortunately I think it's symptomatic of the tone of their campaign from the outset. Whilst I think both sides have been frankly disgraceful in their arguments (I avoid the word debate) the more virulent and less acceptable extreme has been on the leave side. Not surprising as those promoting change in anything are typically more aggressive and unsurprisingly more verbal than those accepting the status quo, but in this instance it feels more out of control and with greater threat than for many a year and those who are leading it bear a great deal of responsibility for setting the tone.

If there is one reason to hope that remain prevails it is that we might see the last of the blatantly fascist Farage, the usurper Gove, and the self-opportunist Johnson in mainstream politics. God knows that still leaves plenty of shit in both government and opposition.

If we stay in then this country is finished and many countries will go this way that I'm sure of.
We will end up paying more and we will have unlimited migration forever.
The idiots in Brussels dislike us as well as the likes of Germany...These 3 dictate the EU and we just pay up.

Here are pretty much the only notable people who think we should leave the EU:

• Boris Johnson, who probably doesn’t really care either way, but knows he’ll become Prime Minister if the country votes to leave
• Michael Gove, who probably doesn’t really care either way, but hopes he might Prime Minister if the country votes to leave
• A former Secretary of State for Work and Pensions who many thought carried out a brutal regime of cuts to benefits and essential support for the poorest in society as well as the disabled and sick
• The Education Secretary that every single teacher in the country hated with a furious passion for the damage he was doing to the education system
• Leader of UKIP
• BNP
• Britain First
• Donald Trump

Quite a lot of backing for a tin-pot outfit really.[/QUOTE]

You've missed off Marine Le Pen, Keith Chegwin and David Icke from this list which may weaken your argument
