Yep exactly. Seen a few threads saying Hambo and Harper were a waste! Clearly don't understand the whole concept of a development squad... Exciting future for the Albion!

Youth players will get their chance under Chris if they are good enough and better than the first team squad. Sadly,he just didn't inherit a Youth squad full brilliant youngsters. Last year when O'Grady was failing to find the goals when we were struggling, I said to him, why don't you just play one of the youngsters, they couldn't do any worse. His answer was, we don't even have anyone who is anywhere near ready yet. That what the club are trying to address by bringing in promising youngsters.

If we go up this year it will be even harder for players to break into the first team from the Youths because our standard of first team player will improve but that doesn't mean you just give up hope on them.

I think Tony Bloom wants to put in place a good Youth System because he knows he won't be there in 20 years or more's time to plough money in.

A small snippet to show the doubters that our manager is more than a guy who picks a formation and gets the team to run around a few cones during the week.

Let's hope he is genuinely ready for involvement soon (the lad himself in his interview with his local paper, says that he has been told he is signing 'for the A squad').

Murphy has been well off his best recently, and KLL missed the U21 game last night with yet another 'minor knock'.

I thought Kaz's absence was due to a bruised toe / precautionary? At least, that is what was reported. Doesn't sound that serious to me.

For sure - nothing to be concerned about - but a little reminder that Kaz can be a little fragile.

At some point we should have Rosenior back in the mix for those wide places, too.

Flew in yesterday - signing to be part of first team although not expected to go straight in to the matchday squad after just starting pre-season in Norway. - fee suggested to be up to £400K including all appearance etc add-ons (so possibly half that as a basic fee). Three and a half year deal.
