of course its a coincidence. an action in France 12 hours after the US hit an obscure British jihadi. nothing to meaningfully link them. im sure in the coming hours ISIL will make claimed link, if you believe this you are buying in to their propaganda.

You are naïve if you think this is the case.

Alright, solutions. Vigorous and militant gun control - too many weapons around. Undercover infiltration (there are thousands of decent Muslims who would/could be and probably are working for the secret services).).

I'd rather not be disarmed if these crazies show up thanks. Its an imported problem, it can be reversed.

Cameron says he's "shocked by these events in Paris."
He'll be shocked when the same happens in London at the weekend.
Time to shut the borders Dave and deal with the enemy within ,you spineless ****.

Hang on, much as i agree and have been saying for ages that we need to cut immigration, just help out the Syrians near the border, and uncontrolled thousands crossing Europe was asking for trouble.....Cameron has got plenty of stick on here for refusing to be railroaded by Germany etc into taking millions of these refugees/migrants. He has tried to limit and put aid near the border only. Yes he should shut the borders, a certain politician and party have been stating and been ridiculed for saying this.
Many posters on here wanted us just to allow mass immigration, and branded any poster who showed concern and worry about the unchecked.
ISIS had warned that many of it's kind were infiltrating into Europe....more sneers and snide remarks.
I hope this is a one off, MI5 have been warning us for months about the high risk, but no to many it was just propaganda.... it could be too late, hopefully the UK is not at such a high risk that it could have been if many on this board had got it's wishes.
It's a sad night.

I'm sure most would be known to the police but they are helpless until something happens, this is what needs to change sod human rights in these scenarios

It would be interesting to know if all the mad *******s are on the radar. Sadly I suspect the answer is that they are not. Same applies to any crime type. Some 'likely' are know, some aren't. We can't arrest everyone who seems a bit dodgy (or who might become a bit dodgy, on account of their being a Muslim, or living in a crack house in Brixton, or on a council estate in Whitehawk, or whatever). Terrorism wins by making life for everyone else unbearable. There was no crime on Airstrip One.

Glad I don't have to make the decision what to do now. I recall that after the twin towers attack, the invasion of Afghanistan was popular with public. The Iraq invasion somewhat different. I've always wondered what the opinion of the first would be now.

Thoughts with the people of Paris.

You made a blanket generalisation, which you've had to backtrack on a couple of times already.

No, I am a thoughtful person and I like to consider the issues. The knee jerk reaction is rarely correct. You wrote "No doubt it's the religion of peace again.". That, my friend, smells like a blanket generalisation to me. Care to backtrack, or are you on a Crusade?
