Step down in favour of who or what? I assume this is a joke. The first ambitious chairman who has had money to invest money in the club since Mike Bamber. Yes with this clubs support we should be a top half premier league club but we have always under achieved and never been successful since the Charity Shield win of 1910. (Losing a cup final is not a success, its a day out). However TB has given the club a chance, but we have no right however to spend his money for him.

'we should be in the top half of the Premier League!' Get out of it! OK it might happen but ….. shut up, shut up, it's embarrassing!

Name another club who would get 29000 for Fulham at home when losing week in week out in the championship, and ask yourself where they are playing. Read the full post without edit

I think Mr Tony Bloom is well capable of learning from whatever mistakes he might have made.

Can you give me an example of where he has learnt by his mistakes on the footballing side of things? Genuine question as he seems to be stumbling from one cock up to the next since Poyet left IMO.

We are getting fantastic crowds. Historically we usually did at the Goldstone but there is still a bit of a honeymoon thing going on and until this season things have been pretty good on the pitch. If we struggle as bad next season and still get an average of over 20k I'll be delighted even if it goes against my argument. Don't forget in our 4 seasons in the top flight it was not uncommon to get less than 10k which was pretty poor even for then. I think a lot of our problems are down to impatience and slightly inflated expectation by many fans, the suits and even some of the managers [Poyet, Peter Taylor, Micky Adams, Garcia]

1. Name a game where we got 10,000 in top flight, I think you are thinking of when they went down to 14,000 after being 25000,to 30,000 in div 2. When we were in the top flight it was the early 80s, a time when Arsenal could get 18000 and palace could get 4000.
2. Honeymoon? Its a bloody long honeymoon. No mate, its the club being given a half equal footing and not in serial decline. Only half decent footing because the team isn't great.
3. Judge a club on a like for like basis, what do they get for the division they are in. Brighton normally (not always) do very well and its not the first time we do better for support than top flight sides. This is for a club with no trophy since 1910 and but a few seasons in the top flight. Remarkable really.

I'm sure the average crowds you refer to for both divisions were not as high as you say. Don't forget the likes of Leeds, the Sheffield clubs, Wolves, Forest, Derby, Ipswich, Norwich, Birmingham, Cov, Cardiff, Fulham, Newcastle, Sunderland, Leicester, QPR, Villa, Everton etc all think they should be in the top half of the Prem. So add that lot to the clubs already there ……..
As I say let's see whether I'm right about the honeymoon. I'd like to be wrong.

Who would you suggest should take over? Perhaps you have a few hundred million quid that you could step I with?

What always seems to escape a lot of idiot Brighton fans, is that we aren't the only club in the country trying to get to the Premier League. There are a hell of a lot of others, some of who have been trying, with similar or better resources, for a hell of a lot longer than we have.

How the hell is it 'make or break' for Bloom? Who's going to sack him? Who's going to come in with millions and millions of pounds and do a better job? Some rich Arab who's never been to Brighton and knows nothing about football? Get a ****ing grip

I'm going to say this, and it'll be controversial and everyone's probably going to cry.

But the only people calling for Bloom's sacking are those who've signed up within 1-2 years. Now, for all we know, you've been a die hard fan since 1910. However, it seems very strange you're saying the club is in freefall and that Bloom has to go because of this. But if you knew our history, then you'd know this club has always been in relegation scraps when in the Championship.

Which brings into question about whether or not you're a new fan. Because if you are, go back to the team you were supporting before Brighton. Because our history has never ever been a top championship side, neither do we have a god's given right to be.

It's been a frustrating few days having read the amount of shit posters with "signed up 2013". You make no mention of our history in your post, instead you talk about money. Why should he invest more than what he has done because some forum poster is having a paddy.

The vast majority of those worried about relegation appear to be more concerned about the fact we'll be in league 1 therefore, further from the premier league rather than the financial implications of being relegated. Which, by the way if we do as what many of your ilk are saying, would be worse because of excessive borrowing.

Calm down, the club is not in freefall. We'd be in free fall if we were to be relegated and this time next year, we're facing relegation to league 2. That's free fall.
Not falling from 10th, 4th 6th then 20th, given our historical league positions.

I'm convinced it's young kids who write these posts Commander. Surely no fan who has been going for more than ten years or so can possibly actually believe those views. What would have NSC thought of Mike Bamber all those years ago ?

It's not time for Bloom to step down! But it is time for himself and the rest of the board to stop bullshitting us!

@%1;

That's a bit premature isn't it? Custermas isn't until December.

Barber is preparing for relegation by creating a calendar for all the sales so fans can save their money to pile into the club shop when the sale's on. Rapid cash injection, Barber gets his bonus and little Archie gets his League One 'Champions' scarf early.

In what way are they bullshitting us?

There's no hidden agenda...

Pedantry observations are a clear indication of a Victorian class consciousness which for those of us who think we need to break these stereo types believe has no place in the modern world, language and its use has always been owned by the user in the formation of productive relationships. It makes no differance if it were you and I or you and me

difference .... X

By having us believe "We would have a side capable of reaching the play offs this year" Bullshit me thinks!
