. I raised a point about Eastern Europeans taking all the factory jobs which meant locals who had been recently made redundant and cannot find work were being sanctioned)

If locals are being made redundant and replaced by inferior migrant workers that's a damning indictment of (a) labour legislation which in theory is there to prevent such things happening, and (b) unscrupulous employers for sanctioning such behaviour

It's all wrong. If I went to work in France and they put a French person ahead of me I wouldn't mind, in fact I would congratulate them, because that is what I suspect the French would do, they are not scared offending people unlike in this country where people get accused of being xenophobic.

Is it any wonder people get pissed off when they advertise our jobs abroad before advertising them here, where is the respect for people in this country.

Whether you agree with UKIP policies or not, no-one deserves to be harrassed by a mob when eating out with his family.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-32009961

Anti-UKIP protesters have invaded a pub in south London where party leader Nigel Farage was having lunch.

Mr Farage was in the Queen's Head in Downe, Kent, with his wife and two younger children at the time.

Demonstrators first went to the George & Dragon, believing it to be Mr Farage's local, before they found him.

They said they chased the family out of the pub and jumped on the politician's car bonnet as he drove away. Mr Farage later branded them "scum".

Ive just read that this expenses claim by this womans 'aide' from the 'peoples' party was for over 3000 quid??

btw, the protesters , who 'attacked' Farage, who seem to be mostly women, in fancy dress who invaded the pub do look terrifying, I can understand the concern. Probably
why the leader of the party of the people, wants a security detail protecting him, from the people.
The way UKIP support is presenting them is pretty funny. They were mostly women, in fancy dress, not Chelsea 'headhunters' ffs.

If indeed.

It's all down to the living wage. All the while that isn't enforced it's easy to employ cheap migrant labour.

It's all a smokescreen ladies and gents. Campaign for the living wage. There are more job vacancies out there at the moment than there are people to fill them.

For example, there is a massive nurse shortage. Last year 20% of nurses were foreign. This number alone exceeds Mr Farage's 50,000 net migration target based on a points system. All nurses should be paid a living wage at least. Let's train our young people up to do so. And there will be other examples too.

It's not about immigration or Europe everyone. UKIP are selling a convenient and easy to buy message, but it is a damaging one. If you believe in Britain, then it's an anti-British one.

Don't give the career politician Farage your vote. Search for the policies that will really reward British workers. We're not soft on immigrants. We're soft on employers that refuse to pay fair living wages. Do something about enforcing that and get British people into work. Let immigration and freedom of movement look after itself. First, let's give our young people work - and that's not done by just offering them the poverty wages vacated by some young Pole who we have thrown out of the country.

And no, I don't believe his family deserved to be harassed like this whilst they were all out eating. Harass him when he is out campaigning.

Well said on all of that. Bit of sense on NSC for once.

And on the last point you could also just follow him around dressed as Jesus....

It amuses me to see Soulman's list of Labour and Tory misdemeanors. The Tories have 224,000 members, Labour have 194,000 members and he's compiled a list of about ten incidents for each of them, and they've taken two or three decades to compile. :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

It's all a bit DESPERATE. "Look! See! We're no worse than big parties! A Tory compared the EU to the Nazis!!! (in 1990) Labour once took a dodgy donation!!!! (in 1997)

Yet in the simple eyes of UKIP apologists, both parties are somehow worse than the utterly tin-pot jokers at UKIP who despite having a membership of a fifth of each of the other parties (42,000), can't allow two weeks to ever go by without somebody saying or doing something totally unacceptable. They're so inept and twattish, I'm beginning to wonder whether Nigel Sausage is the only one allowed to speak. The only time anyone else in UKIP says something, it's either an unacceptably out of touch soundbite or an announcement that someone in UKIP is being sacked or denounced (for an unacceptably out of touch soundbite). They are total goons.

Whilst I agree with you that people should campaign for a living wage, registered nurses start on £11 per hour in the NHS which isn't a lot for what they do but is above the living wage. Health care assistants in the NHS are on just £7.31 an hour.

Glad the figures amused you Simster. I just brought up a few of the misdemeanours but can provide plenty more if you want to be further amused. Maybe the Labour paedo list, seeing as the low actions amuse you. When Ukip are found to be fiddling expenses and "fiddling" in general anywhere close to the Labour lot and to an extent the Tories, then perhaps you will have something stronger to continuously diss Ukip with.

You continue to struggle. I'm not saying there aren't misdemeanors from the two big parties - I'm saying the sheer volume of incidents eminating from your own small party of choice puts them both in the shade. It's laughable.

What are UKIP's proposals in relation to the living wage?

No one can disagree that the other parties commit huge gaffes and criminal acts. What makes me scoff at UKIP is the ridiculous manner in which they perform them. For a party that earnestly espouses it is in now way racist, bigoted or mysoginist and are different to the other parties it sure does itself no favours letting their racist, mysoginist, bigoted party members say racist, mysogonist , bigoted things every few weeks.

For the record I don't think it's acceptable to harass him or his family as they go about their family lives. There are plenty of opportunities to protest him on his campaign trail and it's not as if he's in power so it's all a bit redundant.

TBF Farage has asked the membership not to use twitter, or talk to journalists, in order to avoid the bigoted, racist, or mysoginst soundbites...but, when you need to be told...
