The last thing Forest, and to a lesser extend Derby, (how long can they hold that team together) need is more of a gamble.

They need promotion this season, they need goals.

"After his 2 goals last week, x goals so far this season & following on from his Premier League goals, Glenn can sign today and be at training tomorrow, but all that comes at a price."

Sadly, for everybody connected to football, that price is astronomically high.

Doesn't seem Murray will be going to Derby, as they're about to sign a striker we've had far more recently:

I wonder how he'll fit in, and what this means for Martin and their system.

Yes, I agree for Forest and Derby. I was thinking of us as I think we can stay up with not much change but players being played in the correct positions and given clear instructions.

I see Derby are getting Darren Bent now anyway so presumably won't be interested in Murray. Surprising move for Bent, unless there's a permanent move at the end of it, as with his contract running out you would think he'd need guaranteed first team football and Derby are one of a few Championship sides where he won't get that.

#bhafc on the verge of bringing Greg Halford back from Forest on loan for rest of the season.

Good news. I wasn't sure about Halford at first but his performances proved me wrong.
More than pleasantly surprised we have acted so quickly. This is possibly the advantage of the FFP embargoes..... Forest need to get players out so they can negotiate loans to fill the gaps created. It's why Leeds will be hoping to shift Austin quickly so they can replace him with a loan from Italy. Hopefully we won't be helping them out now!

Brighton / Hove actually
Monakanna seems to be playing regularly for Aberdeen, albeit from the bench, but the fans sing his name so he obviously brings something to the pitch late in the game. Could he be ready to come back?

Just seen that they want to extend his loan which ends Jan 5th and they speak very highly of him https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/aberdeen-fc/444129/undefined-headline-724/

“It has been difficult for him as the team has come into a run of form just when his own performances have picked up and his fitness issues have been overcome.

“He is a brilliant boy to work with and in an ideal world both ourselves and Jeff would like to continue working but we don’t know if that is possible yet.”

Sounds promising as previously his attitude had been questioned.

Halford confirmed. Great start to the transfer window! If he carries on like he's played in the last couple of games, we will hopefully be in pole position to sign him permanently in the summer!

Mentioned on other thread, I don't quite understand why he'd come, he isn't going to play instead of Martin as we'd have to change or system. Could see him turn us down for somewhere where he'd pretty much be guaranteed a start.

Maybe I am thinking of John Gregory, when he went on loan to crawley. Cannot find the story that relates to what I believe I read.

You could be right about Gregory, rings a bell.
EDIT: http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?298761-Monakana-told-not-to-waste-his-talent-The-Argus

If he wasn't injured then his lack of fitness would only be down to his poor attitude wouldn't you agree?
This is what I was referring to: http://www.northstandchat.com/showt...na-Signs-Development-Contract-Until-June-2015

:lolol: I am sure he was getting somethings right, it seems to have been more about his attitude when it came to our main and bigger targets.

If you're going to keep bucking The Narrative, you have to expect to take your lumps...
