An interesting theory regarding the apparent hate of cyclists from some people stems from the8 time the motor vehicle first came along and was very much for the middle classes only. The cycle was then viewed as some kind of badge for being of a lower class and in typical British fashion cyclists began to be viewed with scorn.

I think this makes sense, and explains why it's typically the daily mail who lead the anti cyclist propaganda, much like their general attitude.

This is not a tongue in cheek thread, cyclists are the road equivalent of sewer rats!

Being stuck behind them is only half the irritant, its having to look at some middle aged mans fat arse in lycra, thats the real crime.

Fat Bottomed Girls are OK tho:p

Indeed, but a rare sight unfortunately, this cycling craze seems to have bypassed the fairer sex somewhat, they're out there but not in the quantities of annoying male twats on bikes.

I'd say the female cyclist is much more accommodating on the road, unlike the male who still thinks he's in his BMW and takes up the whole ****ing lane :wanker:

How depressing. We're hosting one of the biggest sporting events in the world in the Tour de France and some posters see it as an excuse to attack a sport they don't admire.
Wrong Direction and Bladders can I suggest that you stay off the threads to do with cycling. Clearly some of your fellow Albion supporters do want to enjoy and celebrate these stages and this event.

By all means start a specific thread dedicated to your own views and then your arguments can come out there.

Apologies. I didn't realize. Will happily leave you to your views.

I find it very sad though.
