Leicester after £6.5m Leo Ulloa

As has been said the problem woukd be we receive £6.5m but it may cost the best part of that to replace him.

If we did I'd want it all up front. When they come down next year they're just as likely go in to administration again to clear the debts.

Yet another rip off club.

Ulloa put on a pedestal here. Why?
Always falling over in 50:50 challenges and blaming the defender, whining to refs, no pace, loses the vast majority of aerial balls played up against nothing-special centre halves.
Against far better and faster PL defenders, he would struggle even more.

If that kind of cash is really on offer, once the Albion have their targets in sight, the club should grab it.

I agree he moans and goes down too easy but he has 15 goals over 3/4 of the season and his overall record at Brighton is very good what are you expecting a 30 goals a season player? Although he lacks pace he has that bit of magic to be in the right place at the right time I don't think he would set the Premier League alight but I think he would be a reasonable success and in this market that makes him worth several million but I would not seek him.

away game you won fair and square, at home we were clearly hungover from promotion celebrations, we finished 30 points better off than you.

as for Ulloa, your own supporters say he's too slow, the majority of our squad have speed, im not doubting his technical ability but he's not good enough for us in the championship let alone the premier league, based on performances over the season not just two games.

I understand that your defensive attitude is because your sticking up for your player, but imo he's not good enough, certainly not better than our reserve strikers had they played consistently over the season.

Easy and obvious excuse to trot out and even if true, to be incapacitated enough to affect your performance that long after achieving promotion is shockingly unprofessional.

It's not the number of goals. His natural lack of pace and the other weaknesses in his psyche and game, slow us up in general, although he is not the only cause of that slowness in our current team/squad in attack and especially counter-attack. If our main striker scored 15 a season, but in addition was dynamic, had pace to cause problems for defences, creating chances and openings elsewhere, that would be a massive step forward over what we have now.

I'm not convinced that Ulloa fits in with the style Oscar wants us to play and if a decent offer came in, he'd be off loaded.
Would that be the same Leo Ulloa who has scored 16 goals in 3/4ers of an Oscar season.
The fella that has played almost every available minute for Oscar.
That guy who has played in every attacking permutation Oscar has fielded.
The Leo Ulloa who took Oscar's team into the playoffs.
Leo who has played all season without a positional back up.

Or are you talking about another Leo Ulloa who doesn't fit Oscar's style of play?

Totally agree but how much will it cost to replace him, our record with strikers is poor and he does get the goals so I question whether it's a good idea to sell.

What absolute tosh he is far better than Wood in every area of play and he would definitely make a lower prem side so Leicester seems the obvious if we were prepared to sell him. He could of course join Gus at Sunderland who will comfortably finish above Leicester.

if you read what i said i said he was technically very good BUT DOESNT FIT IN WITH OUR STYLE OF PLAY... Your own fans has said he is slow, we play fast fluid football, we dont sit back we go for the throat, so therefore there is no place in our current squad for slow players. why is that so hard to understand?

and by the way he looked absolutely dog shite against derby, your biggest game of the season and all he did was moan at the ref for 90 mins

Worth noting that the original post was in response to speculation in the Daily Mail and on Sky Sports that Ulloa was in LCFC's sights, allegedly for around £6.5m. So it's not as if the story was started by an Albion fan..........probably just the usual silly season but inevitably prompted the usual debate on NSC about should he go - or stay.

I imagine there are other strikers now destined for another season in the Championship who might also appear on the promoted Clubs shopping lists - I don't know how tight their contracts are but maybe McCormack and Rhodes would have their price if Leicester came calling?

You obviously havent watched him enough as he isnt slow nor is he greyhound like Wood and Philips, lol, he is very good as a hol up player to bring others into the game abd getting on thd end of crosses. I hope the manager if your club thinks the same as you and does not try for him. Nor the one who replaces Pearson at Chrustmas with you near relegation, mind that wont worry you as you will have a few pounds and can knock some more creditors.

That's the one, our only fit striker after Barnes went, so who else was he going to play?
Yes he did all you list, but I stand by what I said. I wouldn't be surprised if he was allowed to leave for the right price but we'll see.
Don't mistake my opinion as a criticism of him, I rate him very highly and would be one of the 1st names in my team.

He's the same pace as Sam vokes, Jordan Rhodes (Rhodes probably even slower).

Suited to a side who whip balls in, would do great at man utd or west ham!

they were paid off years ago, our owners wiped all our debts.

That's not true though, is it?

Leicester City went into administration in 2002 owing in the region of £30m. They paid, I believe, 10p in the pound. In case your maths is as awry as your assessment of centre forwards this means you simply did not pay £27m of debt. Many businesses suffered because of the appalling way your football club was run, and I use the word 'run' loosely.

Did you forget all of this, or are you just new to the bandwagon and hopelessly out of touch?
