Fulham would suit him. Sunderland would be a one way trip to the championship. We would however be at high risk of losing some key players to his new side in the next transfer window.
You honestly think TB would sell to Poyet ? not a chance its not even worth selling Leo for 10 million for arguments sake compared to him helping us to promotion which is of far greater value, we are no longer a selling club.

Why is Curbishley always still in the running for these jobs? He's been out of the game for years!

Hold on to that hope. Every player has their price.

Which we'd need when he signs Ulloa in January.

Is that the Ulloa who'll have 3 years left on his contract in January? Because if it is, we're not going to let him to for anything less than a huge pile of cash. Why do people think that, if he were to get the job, Gus could just come along and cherry pick our best players anymore than any other premier league manager?

I'd go for Tony Pullis if I were them.

He might not play the most attractive style but he can sure as hell organise a team to stop them leaking goals...

And guided Stoke into an FA cup final and then Europe...

This is a million times over.

And this, likewise.

Which we'd need when he signs Ulloa in January.

But not this.

100% agree. You may as well throw George Graham and Glenn Hoddle into the mix.

Brighton / Hove actually
I think it's a reasonable possibility. Gus may have been a tad moody at times but he was no mad villainous type like Di Canio. His slightly-smothered ego would re-emerge with a good run in charge again for a spell and funds that wouldn't match his ambition and wish for guaranteed glory, but i think his ball-playing ethos would charm a good number of their fans just as it rightly did us. Tough to beat and looking to outdo oppositions in possession percentages wouldn't be bad for a side horrendously unsettled by the doings of its now-departed extremist.

I agree that he would be good for a struggling Prem side and make them hard to beat, and there aren't really that many good unemployed managers out there to chose from.

The first Prem side to lose their manager will probaly get Poyet in, if only in an emergency season long temporary role.

With all the TV he has been doing his sacking hasn't done him any harm, it's not like anyone won't touch him with a barge pole.

Anyway I'm hoping he we get his Prem job so I can judge him on that rather than what he did here, and I hope we meet his future club in the FA Cup this season and smash them.
