We wouldn't have made the play-offs without him. Going into them, most people's biggest concern was that Dobbie wasn't available.

Been our best player in per-season too. Not sure if he's Premiership quality, but if he never kicks a ball again for us it will always be a signing I'm delighted with :)
I'm sure Dobbie is absolutely delighted too , wouldn't you be if you were earning the amount he'll be raking in this season for doing virtually naff all ?

He didn't single handedly get them into the play-offs , they were toilet in the last half a dozen league games. Palace made the play-offs due to a ludicrous refereeing decision when a Peterborough player was fouled and the free kick was given to Palarse.
That's just one incident.

From what I remember of Palace's run in, it was Dobbie who arrested the slide, energised the team, scored 3 goals and created others.
All at a time they were sh*thouse.

What he did in all honesty was change them from a totally crap side into a crap side who sneaked into the play-offs when Bolton and Forest screwed it up. A gamblers wildest dream that became reality

Still, it's ironic to think that if you hadn't allowed him to come to us you'd probably have had Leicester in the play-offs.

The old Dobbie is shit/ great debate.
You're happy he's gone, we're happy he helped get us promoted.
What is obvious, is that he performs better when surrounded with quality players.
Let's move on guys.

Why wasn't he a success at Swansea in the Premier League then? Or is your team better than theirs?

And we would have lost to them too. If your manager strolls in at 19:15 on a match day you're never going to be prepared.

And as revealed on the fans forum wanted to leave at the end of the season , if the players were told that before the game they would have been devastated.

Dream Team Ratings from The Sun Palace vs Spurs

STEPHEN DOBBIE: 4/10 - " Flitted in and out of the game - he seemed to struggle at this level."

Isn't that a copy and paste ratings comment from when he played for us last season ?

I don't get it. We've better players than you (even now) - so why was he so shit for us (and as someone else pointed out - Swansea). More likely that he just responds well to whatever it is that Holloway has. Doesn't seem to do much away from him.

Oh dear, that really is the most deluded thing I've ever read on this board! Bridcutt and Kuszczak would make our team ahead of Dikgacoi and Speroni. Upson is level with Gabbidon and Delaney. That's it.

So is mentioning Gabbidon and Delaney being at the same level as Upson..... Upson comfortably better. I would be surprised if Ulloa didn't walk into your team and Buckley come to that, in comparison to Bolasie.

Bolasie won't be near our first 11, we have just signed Puncheon who is ten times the player that Will Buckley is. You think Ulloa is better than Chamachk? Please.
