He is not the special striker, considering he is a winger, and I think Peter Reid stated a few times they were determined to hold on to him, but if we were in their position, we would probably have to sell Bennett as he is our best player...so...it is good to get excited by a new signing, as he was clearly their best player against us at Home Park, and he has a shed load of assists, 3/4 goals from the wing and has a tremendous left foot from all accounts...

What a signing!

We need a WINGER people, and a good one. Noone fits the bill so will prove a SPLENDID signing.

Noone is one of two players worth buying from Plymouth's crop of crap and we've got him. Marvellous. Scenes.

Let's hold on, we haven't got him yet. Southampton will probably try and sign him, seeing as we do all their scouting for them anyway, and it wouldn't surprise me even though he's now at Newcastle if that prick Pardew came in with a late bid.

Good point Noone would be a good cover for Kevin Nolan as he gets older

Mission half completed.

WANTED: Left winger and a striker.

Left Winger? Tick.
Striker? Watch this space...

Anyone who was at Plymouth back in August will know all they need to about Noone.

Never seen Noone play for 90 mins so can't really make judgement but the only thing that worries me is that at 5'7"/67kgs he will be vulnerable to the league 1 cloggers and with a knee problem history too!! Kazenga had a lot of strength and considerably more weight plus lightning speed which was why he was so good, rarely bullied off the ball unlike our previous lightweight wingers (Robinson and Cox!!) Still will provide much needed width up front in the absence of Kaz.

maybe in the long term he is backup for Kaz which would be good wouldn't it

This is exciting news, he's a great player with good assist stats that chips in with a few, that and he gave Painter (in my view the best left back in the league) a hard time and was their only stand out player at Home Park. To have Painter and Noone, and Calderon and Bennett down the left and right will bring an exciting second half of the season! A striker and a back-up full-back and we're set.

Just thought of that and I think I exploded by brain.
