He’s one of the internationals - Played for IREu21s at end of last season so presumably not available.

The first sentence is fine. The second sentence is almost certainly true for the club, but the players will still be under the microscope, even in a 45 minute outing in a friendly at Lancing. I don't know whether they had stats packs on them - my guess is no. This is about feel and intuition against real opposition. Decisions on training, drills etc. will have been made. It is inevitable that judgements on players will also have been made, albeit only short-term ones.
Just as I made mine. I see no reason to change them, or stop making them.
Here are some more of my judgements.
Weather: hot.
Pitch: perfect.
Training pitches: Champions League standard.
Maupay: stroppy
Welbeck: no service
Lallana: puffing a bit.
So you accept that 45 minutes is insufficient to make a judgement on a player, which is the crux of the discussion?
If Enciso is crap in the next 45 mins, 60 mins or however he’s long he’s on the pitch for, does that make him unlikely to succeed or is your judgement made
?In terms of your observations difficult to argue with any of those, other than Lallana, but I really don’t know, as difficult to see via YouTube.
Going back to judgements though, as per my discussion with Icy and Maupay, stroppy is right, he really didn’t do himself any favours with his behaviour IMO.

Every year, I think that people will learn not to throw a wobbly about anything in the first pre season friendly after 2 weeks of mostly fitness work. Every year, I am proved wrong.

I wonder why we don’t do these foreign tournaments in far flung places over the world?
I would have thought we had gained much kudos from last years efforts to be playing in some of these mini things

I think if the World Cup wasn’t disrupting the season in terms of start date, we would do. Weren’t we looking at the USA pre- Covid?

What are people picking up with Maupay that I did not see? He reacted to a bad challenge (which reports say Groß also took up with the referee at the end) and played with more intensity probably owing to the fact he knows more competition has just arrived for a starting slot.
Thought he looked sharp and certainly more impressive than some of the other attacking options on display in the two halves.

Scathing challenge on their player
Minor skirmish with the defender after the challenge you mention - already on a booking
Brushed the defender off when he tried to shake hands at the end.
I’m with you regarding Maupay he knows he’s on the edge of being moved on , the same with Zeqiri. Both looked as though they were trying to impress as they knew they had too.
I was looking forward to seeing Undav but unfortunately he didn’t impress at all for me
Hopefully he’ll find his feet soon and look a threat

Your first question reveals that you didn't understand the nuances in my previous post. I was talking about the club. Not individual fans who don't have the resources of the club. If you were talking about the club, then I would agree with you. Having said that, fans have a voice and are entitled to hold and voice opinions. After all, that is what this forum is all about.
The second question on Enciso also reveals we are talking at cross-purposes. Players are judged the whole time. Every minute of every match. The stats packs deliver a wealth of data which Tony Bloom, through Starlizard, seems expert at deciphering. Fans such as you and I, only get the odd fleeting glimpse at that data. But that doesn't mean our opinions or judgements are invalid.
Note that you finish up agreeing with a judgement about Maupay - based on his 45 minutes on the pitch.

Not just friendlies. Last season there were a good few "Game over" comments if we went 1-0 down. Luckily the players have more backbone than some of our supporters.

Great to see disagreements about players back …beats the diet of political stuff over the last month or so 
Having watched the game now, I agree with some of these statements.
Undav is a no for me though. I believe the club initiated talks to terminate his contract.
Also think it is a bit lazy and indecisive to need another 45 minutes of glorified training session to make a definite call on Kozlowski. I'd make him captain.
Some reflection on some of the others:
Cucurella - no. Think TB cried a little bit in the baththub in the evening as he had to scratch a couple of zeroes from the demanded fee. [MENTION=2095]Commander[/MENTION] or whatever his name is will probably be here to confirm.
Dunk - jury's out. Need to watch a couple of still photographies from the training sessions. Will confirm if he is a capable footballer or not once I've bothered.
Welbeck - no. Will struggle to make the 25 man squad and a good guess is that he will playing with Haydon Roberts in Derby County this season.
