Is this a wind up? Ward isn't at QPR for them to loan out, he's in Australia playing for Perth.

The Australian season hasn't started yet. He signed a two year deal with QPR last season and doesn't appear in the Perth Glory squad list.

I thought I had read somewhere that he was going back to Australia? Oh well, perhaps not.

This is really mugs me off about Nick Ward, looked really sharp in the few games he played here but everyone seems keen to criticise him for some reason? His time was so disrupted by flying to Azerbijan or some such place for those internationals but he found himself in some great positions at times in behind the midfield and showed some real creativity to create chances for strikers, can see him being lightweight in the championship and a little inconsistent but flair players are usually like that anyway. We need a creative player in the midfield area and I think he would have done the job for us.

Seconded. Would have preferred him rather than Zesh even though I used to like Rehman in his first loan spell, Zesh has done ok but not as well as his first stint.

Thirded. Whether or not Ward's final ball was an assist, he actually had defences in a state of panic (relatively). It is not always about making every pass, but putting the defence under pressure - eventually they will crack.

I would welcome Ward back. It is not as if we have an abundant supply of players that can beat men and run rings round people.

With Rehman and Whing plus Reidy back if needed there, the defence wouldnt be shaping up too badly at all. Just LB that's a worry.

I'd say LB isn't a big problem, as Rents seems to be coming along nicely and if needs be there's Mayo or someone from the youth like Cobbs
