It will be interesting if he perseveres with 4-4-2 for an away fixture -- this decision ought to set the tone for how we set out for playing away this season. Either way, there's not going to be too much of a change in terms of personnel, only Ince and Rosenoir are likely to force their way into the starting eleven.

Out of curiosity, what formation did we play away last season when Jones was in charge? I would't be surprised to see Ince come in to midfield.

Ince and Holla formed our defensive midfield partnership, replacing the Gardener-JFC, which wasn't very good. Jones got his substitutions spot on that night, which was comfortably the best experience I've had away from the Amex.

Oh Rosenior for Rea, I forgot about him. Giving Gordon a rest this weekend. Zamora/Crofts/Colunga could all do a job for 15 minutes I'd have thought, an early substitution obviously wouldn't work.

Seems a much stronger, physically bigger, squad this time around. As you say, a couple of wingers to challenge Lualua and March and we'll be almost there.

Weren't we 4-5-1 for the first part of Southend and looked awful? Seems like we play with more confidence when we have two up front.

Sort of, it was described as 4411 which is the same as 451 in my book.
