CMS having greater strength than Hoskins is meaningless, because he is much worse at holding onto the ball.

CMS without a shadow of a doubt.

Just what has Hoskins shown that would warrant his inclusion over CMS ?

1 goal in the embers of a game against 10 men !

The one game Hoskins did start this season at home to Forest he missed more sitters in 25 mins than CMS in the whole season.

You watch teams push right up on us and dominate the ball with CMS not there.

He is a far better finisher and hasn't had a proper run to prove that. One game where he missed some easy ish chances isn't a good enough assessment.

Believe me I have seen more than enough to know Hoskins is not in CMS league as a player.

On top of that I would not be dropping a player who is our top scorer by some margin for a player who in 4 months time will not be playing for us, it simply does not make sense

You cannot trust Hoskins, injury wise to base an attacking unit around him.

His close ball control is excellent and his first touch is far superior to CMS's.
What about Bristol Rovers away 2 seasons ago? He was excellent then, no?

If Vicente is not ready to start I think there's a case for starting both Hoskins and CMS in a 4-4-2.

When The Dagger is ready he starts with CMS and they get subbed for Hoskins and Lua Lua once we're 2-0 up.

SO you'd rather we DONT create chances so we can't miss them? That's about as stupids as Poyet's play not to lose tactics.

I would start Hoskins upfront.

Not sure why most people are dropping Barnes and Dicker, we looked a far better team with them in the side.

Hoskins has started 3 games this season

v Bristol City (2-0 win, 2-0 up when he was substituted after 77mins, NSC rating: 6.64/10, team average 6.75)
v Charlton (2-2 draw, 1-1 when he was substituted after 67mins, NSC rating: 6.63, team average 7.02)
v Forest (0-0 draw, 0-0 when he was substituted after 69mins, NSC rating: 5.76, team average 6.52)

So what do you actually see in CMS' game that is better than Hoskins, besides his ability to run around like a headless chicken, which I could do.

I have gone with cms but Hoskins, he's confidence should be sky high after Newcastle.
