Nor is it Lewes FC who are putting the boot in.

Far from it.

Cheers L.B. there is a lot of support for Falmer at Lewes F.C. and Supporters Club Chairman Cliff and a lot others our fully behind our cause. It's the council which is against Falmer and not everyone who lives in Lewes, believe me there are Brighton fans who live here.

Mona and Zeitgeist: Sound like sour grapes to me.

Good luck to the Rooks.
I had to reply to an over-the-top posting.
I might be putting my head on the block here but isn't Worthing more of an Albion town than Lewes? I'll take cover.

In fairness, Mona was never refering to the respective football clubs, but to the towns and council(s) in general.

Not sour grapes S.O.L. Quite simply, Lewes got lucky.Fair play to them. The game that was abandoned, Worthing were on their way to a comfortable win. In the replay, Worthing were dire. Add to that Darren Freemans penalty miss in the last minute on Easter Monday??....Ah well. The fat lady may have gargled, but she hasn't quite come on stage. ( Yet! )
