The useless Stains manager is giving him a run for his money this season.
Blackburn sacked Allardyce and appointed yes man, Steve Kean! (Edit: just seen Han Solo make same point)
And the other Albion booted Pulis and just 4 months later.........

I feel like Knight wanted a romantic, nostalgia boost and for Adams to be managing us for the first Amex season
In hindsight it was a diabolical move really and unfortunately made him look very out of touch
Not saying Wilkins was doing an incredible job but he definitely could have held the job until Blooms money came in (in my opinion anyway)

Wilkins was a Brighton man and he was doing a pretty decent job considering the circumstances, no way did he deserve or did performances justify him being sacked.
Agreed it was Knights heart over head and it was both a terrible decision and very unfair on a great Albion servant.

They should have held their nerve and given him a full season, it was fun looking on from here.
Birmingham sacking Gary Rowett when they were just outside the play-offs on GD and replacing them with Zola, who had them in 20th and only out of the relegation zone on GD when he resigned four months later.
Also Birmingham sacking John Eustace, who had them in the play-offs, and replacing him with Rooney who lasted 15 games and was the catalyst for their relegation last season.
I'd still argue Van Nistelrooy is the worst appointment ever, mind.

We will never know how Hinsh would have fared that season, if him and Bob had a full pre season, very fine margins, even in the run of straight defeats.

Undoubtedly this one. The absolute risk of appointing a yes man following an ownership change and with the club trying to disguise the beginning of a process of asset stripping. They made noises about signing Ronaldinho (considered among the best in the world at the time https://www.theguardian.com/football/2011/jan/04/ronaldinho-david-beckham-blackburn-steve-kean). Almost all of the others are legitimate people trying their best but unfortunately failing. When you look at the points per game and consider the squad they had at appointment comparatively to others it's shocking: https://www.football365.com/news/10-worst-premier-league-managers-all-time-parker-mccarthy. The element of deception makes Kean the worst, and the fans called him out and hated him for it.

We finished 7th in League One, 2007-2008. I seem to remember that was fairly well received, under the circumstances(blooding youngsters on a regular basis).
Wilkins deserved another crack. Obviously Dick Knight thought otherwise.
