A 3-0 loss at Walsall, Livermore at left back, was probably as inept as it gets.

Obviously losing to Palace in May was bad, also the FA Cup final loss and that Notts County game at Wembley weren't much fun.

Losing 0-4 at home to Crewe in the February before Russell Slade's Houdini Act.
Also a 0-2 to Notts County in November 82. Not particularly significant....just dire! But we got to Wembley 6 months later!

I was at the 7-1 defeat at Huddersfield. It had been an endurance test just getting to the game, as the M1 was closed earlier for an accident, so we were going north via the A1, when that closed too. We had to go cross country through Notts to try & get to the M1 north of the closure, & missed the first ten minutes of the game. It all went downhill from there.

For me it was a dire loss to Kingstonian 2-1 in the FA Cup, terrible game. At the final whistle hundreds of ecstatic 15 year old Kingstonian's ran on to the pitch, only to be greeted by a group of unhappy Brighton fans.................. OOoops :)
