Fu started like a train against the Hawk, 3-0 already. I did worry how much that epic win would have taken out of Hawkins and whether he's got anything left in the tank playing again so soon after.

Ding smashed Williams yesterday 13-3

Selby has completed his easy win over Wilson today 13-8

Fu leads Hawkins 7-1 overnight, resuming this afternoon

and the dour old Scots, Higgins and McManus are locked at 6-6

Not exactly on fire in the quarters at the Crucible :nono:

The Wizard takes a 9-7 lead over 'Angles' into the final session tonight.

The Hawk and Cue Man Fu provide this afternoon's entertainment.

Tonight is a write off, Hawk will probably already be out and I think Higgins will run away with it from here. Hoping for better in the Semi's from tomorrow.

Just hoping that a good night's rest will have the Hawk recovered from his jaded efforts yesterday and back at his sharp-shooting, long-potting best this afternoon.

Wow... The Hawk has just fluked a red from the break! I can't remember seeing that before??

He's 9-1 down so he needs all the luck he can get :)

Fu might not play a shot in this frame... except Hawkins is all over the place with his position... so probably not.

Pity... out of position 3 times in a break of 20. Hard to believe he beat Ronny in the last round. Looks like a club player. :nono:

The Hawk NINE frames to ONE down.

How did O'Sullivan manage to lose to him? Something dodgy there. He's so bad that he managed to fluke a red off the break off. I don't think that's ever happened in the history of snooker. :lolol:

Cue Man Fu set for decisive 11-5 into tonight - but misses a sitter.

A lifeline for The Hawk.

Big day for Ding Junhui and Alan McManus - two sessions; this morning and tonight.

Ding leads 6-2 but I'm rooting for the Glaswegian. I've never met a nicer person. What a fairytale it would be at the age of 45 to become world champion.

I'm childish so this recent edit of Mark Selby's wikipedia page amuses me...

Great win for Selby, and what a night for the city of Leicester. World Snooker Champion and Premier League champions within 13 minutes of each other.

They'll make it into a film one day.
